Wedding card!

Good evening Lovelies, what a nice day today, hope you all had a lovely day too?
Tonight's make is a wedding card, my best friends son is getting wed end of sept, so I've got time to change my mind on this card? It's a very posh wedding in Royal Tonbridge Wells.
The theme of the wedding is white and purple, I have pinched the ribbons and jewel off the invite, is that wrong do you think? But I wanted it to match the theme and they were so pretty!
8x8 white scalloped edge card matted with more white card I'd rounded the corners and pierced around the edges, I cut the next layer rounded the corners cut about 3rd off, I embossed 2 3rds using M-bossability folder and the other 3rd I stamped and heat embossed with silver pearl EP, a foliage stamp from my cant leave alone Creative Ex dandelion wishes stamp set, used the recycled ribbon to cover the join, R L are templates I cut using white card and heat embossed same stamp, same EP, I wanted them to intertwine but not easy letters to do that with, but managed a little, this is the bit I'm not sure about would love your opinions on it? Honestly I won't be offended! Then cut 3 flowers using marianne dies and my wonderful spellbinders foliage dies! I like how's it's turned out I'm just not sure about the lettering? Thank you for visiting I value your opinions xxx

i think this card is a beauty and i think the pinched ribbon works well to match the theme x x very well done xx the letters would have linked if the other way round as the end of L would have fitted in the round bit of R xx but overall this card is stunning xx i wold be over the moon to receive it xx

Thank you Kerry, I hadn't thought of doing it that way round? Mainly because the groom is the R and thought his should be first? Maybe I'm just being old fashioned! Lol xxx appreciate your comment Hun xxx

Hi Zoe, Your card is stunning, and I am sure the happy couple will be overjoyed to receive it.

If I had created it, I think I would maybe have made the letters a bit finer, more delicate, to match the delicate feel of the card.
Hope you don't mind me say this
Janet

Zoe -if you have any of the paper/card left, I would be happy to die cut you a smaller L and R with my Sizzlets junior alphabet - if that's any help to you??

I think that the card is stunning and I think it was a good idea to pinch the ribbon and jewel - I am sure they will appreciate it. Do let me know if I can help.

It's a beautiful card Zoe, but know what you mean about the letters, I have a circuit Jasmine cartridge, which as Kate says, if you have some card spare, or if I have anything that would match, I'd happily cut them out for you. Or, have you thought of using a bit of distress ink around the edges the same colour as the ribbon to give them a little more definition.

If you're interested in the cricut cartridge option then I'll upload a photo of it tomorrow night, just let me know x

Hi Cheryl thank you for your lovely comment, in fact you always leave me such lovely comments :), would it be cheeky if you could maybe post a few pics of the different fonts you have of your cartridge's please, I used Neenah to cut my letters and flowers on then stamped after I cut the letters out so the cards not a prob, I just think the letters need to be more elegant and delicate, but size wise about the same, would really appreciate it Hun xxx

Hi Zoe, I would have to entwine the letters very carefully taken the 'L' and gone behind the 'R' and passed part of the 'L' through the gap of the 'R' thus more entwining them. Hope you wont mind me saying but I would have also just edged the roses in purple personally but otherwise it's a beautiful card.

I adore white on white with a hint of another colour as the black ribbon really brings the card together. I am loving the flourish of embelishments in the corner of the card. I agree with the above about the letters, but even so, it's still a stunning card.

Hi Lisa, thank you for your comment, I am hoping to change the font of the letters, does it really look black? Your the second person to say that today, it's purple xx

The card is stunning and the papers are gorgeous and perfectly fitting for a 'posh' wedding LOL!
Using the ribbon from the invite is the sort of thing i would have done too, and you know is co-ordinated perfectly.
