Zoe - Challenge #6 - June - "Add some beads or gems"

Good morning Lovelies! I'm hoping June is going to bring some sunshine :) I can't believe we are in the 6th month! Where did the first 6 months go?

So here we are onto our 6th challenge with Lavinia Stamps and as you can see by the title that it's "Add beads or Gems" please be mindful that the rules state, you must use Lavinia Stamps for your entry!

There is a fabulous prize of £40 voucher to spend on Lavinia products here!

So onto my samples for this months challenge, I hope you like them!

My first card I started by masking the edges with lo-tack tape and painted using Luminarts Silks Acrylics, in 3 colours very roughly, I didn't want them to blend, these are gorgeous colours with a beautiful shimmer, they are classed as a glaze as they are translucent, but are very versatile, I used the Zentangle flowers and added a sentiment and some Dew Drop beads.

I used masks to create my background scene with distress inks, stamping with a selection of stamps (from Lavinia of course), I coloured the blossoms in with distress markers then added a blob of "dries clear" adhesive and added clear micro beads, you can see in the closer up photo below better.

Thank you for spending the time to visit, I hope you feel inspired to join in? If not why not pop along to my teamies blog too? Have a great day xx Zoe xx

These are both absolutely beautiful. Such brilliant techniques zany detailing as always. They are both so different. The first is bold and modern looking with that lovely backing square. The second is subtle and pretty and the blossom looks beautiful!
