Penny Black stamps

Good evening Lovelies and wow what a beautiful day it's been, cold but beautiful sunshine. Today is my beautiful daughter Ashley's 31st birthday, boy that time has past quickly, it doesn't seem that long that I was holding her in my arms as a baby and sending her off for her first day at school! I miss her so much, she lives in Canada with her lovely Boyfriend.

So today I've been playing with some new Penny Black stamps (well new to me)

The first card I actually made yesterday, I started by stamping onto watercolour card and painted in the flowers with drawing gum and flicked some over the card, I wet the card and painted with Aquatints, then once dry I removed all the gum and painted with Aquatints and a bit of flicking here and there.

My second card I used the same technique except I used Black Brusho's spritzed with gold mica in water, I painted the flowers with Aquatints, it's a shame the gold shimmer doesn't show in the photo, it is quite subtle.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like my cards today, have a great evening xx Zoe xx

No, I'm sorry Zoe . . . I've met you and there is NO WAY you can possibly have a 31 year old daughter. What is your age-defying secret??????

I must say these two cards are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Another couple of stamps to go on the wish list!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

I'm more than certain that if I splashed a bit of paint here, spritz there and then stamped... It wouldn't look anything like you achieve, in a million years. You just have such a knack and flare, well done again, two beautiful cards. x

Absolutely gorgeous! This is my first visit to your blog; I came looking for the second card in this post after seeing it on Pinterest. It took me a while to find it, but I enjoyed the journey. I'll be coming back in the future. You do such beautiful work. TFS.
