Mixed media for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you caught our fab Lesley Wharton on The Craft Channel the other day? If you didn't she's on again today at 12-1pm, here are samples that I made for the show.

I used craft card as a base, I coloured some Acrylic card with Distress crayons, I smudged them using my fingers and some parts blended with a water brush, I also used a stencil in parts and took off some of the crayon using a wet wipe, then I stamped using Archival Tuxedo Black ink, I used a daisy stencil from Designs by Georgina used a Glossy Gel Medium, once dry I then went over the whole lot using Black Soot Distress ink.

6x6 envelope, I cut and filled it with a piece of card to give some rigidity while inking, I used a rectangle shaped piece of card as a mask and inked using Distress inks, flicked some water a dabbed with a dry cloth to get some texture, the paper doesn't take water too well so I only did a bit and dried it, it did wrinkle a fair bit, I stamped using elements from Gothic Fragments using Distress inks and pulled the ink out with a water brush to create a watercolour effect, I added white paint pen to add highlights, I then used elements from the Mini Mailart set.

I used a long tag from the show and painted with various colours paint using a wet wipe to apply it to get a more blended but random effect, I used elements from Gothic Fragments in a brown Archival ink and then stamped the Mini Curiosities in Black Archival, I used a stencil with texture paste and some gilding wax once dry, I Gesso'd and sprayed some Canvas with a gold spray ink and frayed the edges, then stamped using the words from the show.

My last tag is using Brusho's and distress inks with the Gothic Fragments, I heat embossed the main image using a pale yellow embossing powder. Actually this tag might of been on the Brusho show?

Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy the show, have a great day xx Zoe xx
