Zoe - 14th Challenge "Something for the Ladies"

Good morning Lovelies! And a very warm welcome to new followers, well another fortnight passed, boy the year is going quick,

It's time for a new challenge and this month over at Rhedd and Rosies it's "Something for the ladies" a nice easy one this one I think? Don't forget we are an "Anything goes" challenge so as long as you follow our theme you can make whatever you like, just don't forget to link back to us please.

Our Sandie (blog owner) is sponsoring this challenge and is giving the winner this brilliant prize!

So for my make I wanted it to be a bit tongue in cheek with a vintage feel to it, now I love vintage but I'm not great at it, but I am quite pleased with this, I got the photo from the Internet, and all I can say ladies is "take your pick but mines the one second from right with the fab Knitted vest lol! ;) I hope you like it enough to be inspired to join in? And please pop along and check out the rest of our talented DT samples xx

The stamps are Inkylicious!

Sheena's new stamps

Good morning Lovelies! Hope your all having a fab weekend, having said that! I hope no one was flooded out with that torrential rain in parts of the country?

So today I'm sharing 2 cards I've made with Sheena's fab new stamps, they are both for my daughter, who lives in Canada :( oh I do miss her so much! So not only did she move this week but next week she starts Uni! Again, lol! My very clever girl, has a psychology degree which she got here in England, she now is starting a 4 year nursing Degree over there, I'm so proud!

I've done no fancy technique's with these stamps, I wanted to brush up on my colouring in skills, which aren't my strong point I might add, I used my Coloursoft pencils, love em! I'm pretty pleased how they turned out! Especially the bottles, what do ya fink?

I decoupaged the book!

I must admit, I prefer the first one! Thank you for taking the time to visit, appreciate it muchly, have a fab bank holiday weekend xxx

Jareds 3rd birthday

Good evening Lovelies, just a very quick post from me today! I hope you are all well? We've had a lot of rain today :( oh I hate rain!

Anyway here's a card I've made for my friends little boy Jared who will be 3 on Sunday, I'm actually thinking since making this card that maybe it's a bit grown up? He does love cars though and he's a bright little boy, what do you think?

I've used the Car stamp and Tire tread from Visible Image, I coloured the car with Spectrum Noirs, the tire treads I heat embossed with black fine detail EP from Stampendous, I used some DI to colour my topper and some sequin waste to add a bit more texture and interest, I used Clarity Stamps Letter box stamps.

I'm entering this card into Visible Image, anything goes challenge.

Thank you very much for visiting and leaving your comments xx

1 stamp 3 Cards

Good morning Lovelies, well it's a dull and cooler day so far today, already had some light rain :( I hope it brightens up?

So I've made 3 cards using the same stamp, the wonderful Large Floral stamp by Hero arts, I was introduced to this stamp at the workshop hosted by the talented and lovely Eileen Godwin, the first card was the same technique we learned at her workshop, embossing with white EP and colouring with distress inks, the second 2 I pinched off Pinterest http://heartshugsandflowers.blogspot.co.uk/2011/04/clean-and-simple.html

Again it was heat embossed but with black EP, my favourite EP is the Detail EP by Stampendous, I just love it, you get crisp fine details, even text xx

This first card is for my best friends son's wedding, they are having a pink theme! Hence the pink flowers!
Stamped onto Music sheet!

Stamped onto typed paper

Thank you for visiting today, have a great day xxx

Zoe Challenge # 13 "Use Red" (anywhere in your project)

Good morning Lovelies! It's time to showcase my DT project for Rhedd and Rosie's challenge as you can see from the title, it's Use Red! Moira is sponsoring this challenge and is very kindly offering this fab prize for the winner! Hope I win! ;)

My sample is for my friends wedding and strangly enough her dress was red and I do like to coordinate wedding cards with themes! They just had a small family wedding as its both of theirs second marriage, anyway here's my card!

The stamp is a large cling stamp by Just-rite, I think it's called spring flowers??? Not certain though? I stamped with Perfect medium and embossed with white Stampendous detail EP, I then coloured the flowers using a Q-Tip and Distress inks, I used Worn lipstick and Barn door for the flowers and Shabby shutters for the foliage, then buffed it up with a soft cloth after to bring up the white, the charm was a freebie from a mag added to some white tulle, the EF is an M-Bossability A4 lattice style, not sure of the name?
Thank you for your comments I really enjoy reading what you think! Please visit the rest of the DT's fabulous makes, have a great day :) Zoe xxx

Workshop makes!

Good Morning Lovelies! I can't believe it been a week since I blogged?? I probably won't blog much this week either as in our beautiful seaside town this week is our annual "Folk Festival" it's a wonderful week of Morris dancing, folk music, a huge craft marque etc, not that I'm into the music or Morris dancing, but I love the atmosphere, literally tens of thousands of people from all over the world and country crowd our little town, but it's fab.

Anyway onto my post, I had the most wonderful crafty day yesterday at the wonderfully talented Eileen Godwins Workshop, such a lovely bunch of ladies, some fab Facebook friends travelled up for the day which made it really great day, was lovely seeing you again Barbara Daines and Elaine Maisey, the tea was flowing the sweets were nibbled and the wonderful cake made by Barbara Cleggett was munched and delish it was too, thank you all for a fab day. Here are my makes, I had to finish my last make which is the embossed card with gold gilt on it at home as I just ran out of time, I made my fairy one 3 times, I just wasn't happy with it, I'm still not really! But ho hum that's life!

My favourite is the gorgeous watercolour rose which was embossed onto watercolour card then water coloured with distress inks, I used Chipped Sapphire and Lilac, the background is Shabby Shutters, the fairies is Pan Pastels and versamark ink to create the swirls! The Baroque stylie one is a coloured backing paper embossed and heat embossed with clear EP then inked with Forest Moss DI and gilded with gold wax, I added the Tulle and butterflies when I got home to just finish it off. Thank you for visiting, have a great Sunday xx

Splodgeaway DT sample "Through my mask"

Good morning Lovelies! How you baring up in this warm summer weather? It is rather hot! Phew, but I'm not complaining, we had 7 months of winter and it will be here again soon enough, so stay in, keep cool and drink plenty lol! That's mums advice for today lol ;)

This week on the Spodge-Away blog we are showcasing what "we" like to do through our masks and today is mine and the lovely and very talented Carol's, it's so weird that we have both done bookmarks for this project, mine was very simple.

I took some sheet music, I took the flower from the Fairy Stenskape set, I inked through it first with DI's, heat dried it, then placing the mask back carefully I used Maimeri Glossy gel, and left it to dry over night, then once dry I lightly inked with Black Soot DI, cut it down and mat and layered, creating a rather different and quite pretty bookmark! Please pop over and visit the blog and also Carol's. thank you for visiting, have a wonderful Friday and weekend xxx Zoe xxx

Zoe - Twinchies challenge # 4 "Floral"

Good morning Lovelies! Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer? At long last!

So today is the 4th challenge here at Twinchies Challenge, and the theme is "Floral" in case you hadn't read the title lol!

"Twinchies" in case you are unfamiliar with them? Are 2"x2" square, they can be any medium but must be square and 2x2 inches, apart from that you do what you like! They seem daunting to start with being so tiny, but once you start they are quite addictive!

My Twinchies are all made with the wonderful Jofy stamps, I love them and use them a lot. They have all been quite crudely coloured in with pencils, I feel it suits them? Plus I'm not that great at colouring in lol!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you like what you see? Please check out the other DT's wonderful Twinchies and be inspired to have a go at these wonderful little bits of artiness!

Zoe August Challenge For Crafts Galore!

Good morning Lovelies!

We had a very poor response to last months challenge, I do hope you will be more keen to join in this one? http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk the theme this month is "Bingo" I prefer to call it "Tic Tac Toe"

The idea is: you pick a column either across, up and down or diagonal like you would for noughts and crosses!

The sponsors for this is month are Scrappers Delights
We were lucky enough to choose a Digi for our samples, I chose "Flower Basket"
I chose the top row! Birthday, Flowers, Embossing/Masks

I printed my basket 4 times and coloured using Inktense pencils, I decoupaged the image added some sparkle and some tulle and bling, the background I used a Creative Expressions mask of a chain link fence style, layered onto a pink shimmer card, I used Clarity "letterbox" stamps for the text, the butterflies are Studio 490 stamps, I made this card for a friend! I hope you like what I've created?
I'm not a Digi crafter, but I did quite enjoy creating this card as I was able to put my own slant onto it! I can't wait to see what you all come up with this month? Don't forget to pop along to check out my very talented teamies creations too xx
Thank you for visiting today xxx
