A tag and a couple of cards

Good morning Lovelies and a warm welcome to new followers of my blog. I'm sharing a few bits I've made recently.

My tag I used Dina Wakely stamps to create the background, plus the little scissors from a Finnabair set, I used a grey memento ink pad, I stamped the heart 3 times with black versafine ink pad and coloured in with drawing gum and splashed a bit over the tag, once dry I coloured the tag using Blueprint Drawing and Mermaid Lagoon ink pads, I rubbed off the gum then coloured the hearts using Caran D'ache Neocolor 11 watercolour crayons.

This card was inspired by a card I saw in this months Craft Stamper mag by Hermine Koster, using Brusho's.

This is my Brothers birthday card, it's not until the end of the month, I used a SplodgeAway mask using Distress inks, some washi tape, stamps are from Indigoblu, banner is a die and the sentiment is Chocolate Baroque

Canvas

Good evening Lovelies, well what a scorcher it's been today, oh I do love the sunshine, hot or cold it makes me feel happy :)

Tonight I'm sharing with you a canvas which was inspired by my lovely friend and crafty guru Eileen Godwin Who in turn was inspired by an extremely talented artist Nika Rouss,

I made my canvas using a Donna Downey Stencils and Stamps - Designs by Ryn which you can buy at Oyster Stamps, the circle stamps are Indigoblu! I used Gellatos, Neo-Color watercolour crayons, Distress inks, Archival ink and acrylic paint.

Zoe - Challenge # 8 August "Anything, but not a card"

Good Morning Lovelies! I hope your enjoying your summer, it seems to have been very mixed weather hasn't it? Let's hope we continue to get some nice warm sunshine for a bit longer :)

So today is the launch of Lavinia Stamps 8th challenge and the theme this month is to "make anything but not a card" I'm looking forward to seeing what creations you all come up with!

Here are my samples.

My tag, using a tiny bit of the heart and script background and Chinese lantern.

I created an Altered Art Dictionary page, I used the Deer stamp.

I made a Necklace, handbag/key chain and Brooch with some "Inchies" which were coloured stamped and glazed using Ultra thick embossing powder.

The Stamps I've used for these pieces are: necklace - Border Ivy Stamp, Handbag/key chain - Background Script, and my Brooch I used - Zen Mini Stamps

Exciting news

Good morning Lovelies! What a beautiful morning so far, I'm planning on going for a bicycle ride this morning, along with the usual weekend faffy stuff - chores etc!

So....... Onto my exciting news, I've been keeping this secret for quite some time now, which is not easy when it's so exciting!..........I've been chosen to be on the Design Team for Chocolate Baroque it's official today, there's a fab announcement on the blog today if you fancy popping over to see it? Here along with 2 more lovely and talented ladies - Dominike Turpin and Anne Waller, this all coincides with the launch of some new stamps which I've had the pleasure to have a dabble with.

I used the snowflakes to create the background in various Distress inks and a stencil, die cut the edges just to add some interest and and stamped the gorgeous trio of trees in Versamark ink and heat embossed using silver embossing powder, few sequins and voila!

I'd like to thank Lesley and Judith for helping me and guiding me through, thank you ladies.

A Canvas for Oyster Stamps

Good afternoon Lovelies, and what a lovely day it is, I've been busy doing all my domestic chores this morning so I'm hoping I will get some time to go out in the garden later.

I made a Canvas yesterday for my DT project for Oyster Stamps Using the Poppy Forest Stencil by Donna Downey.

The canvas is 8"x10" also from Oyster Stamps.

I used Gelatos on my background, just scribbled on the canvas and just blending together with my fingers and water, a selection of stencils on my background with various colours of Distress inks, my circles are a stamp from Indigoblu, but can easily be created by using a pen using a stencil or dipping a bottle top in paint, the words are also from a Donna Downey stencil, a few dots and splatters added to finish off and create some texture and voila!

Memory box from Oyster Stamps

Good afternoon Lovelies, well it's dry and sort of sunny, but warm it ain't! I'm hoping we will get some more summer weather before Autumn lol!

Today I'm sharing with you 2 DT cards I've made for Oyster Stamps Using the fab Memory box dies -

Memory Box - Snowflake Centerpiece and Open Studio Die Distressed Snowdrift Collage.

My first card I created A colourful background by sprinkling very sparingly some Brusho crystal paints onto card, I then mixed some mica powder into my water spritzer and spritzed the Brusho's and covered with Bubble Wrap until dry, the shimmer from the mica is quite subtle but very pretty when used with either bubble wrap or cling film.

 

My second card I used Distress Spray ink and a memory box stencil for the background.
