Baby girl card!

Good evening lovelies! Well a very autumnal feel in the air today! After all those awful gales last night!
Tonight I've made a less is more baby girl card!
8x8 white scalloped edge card base, I stamped on white card with versamark ink the gorgeous Gingham background stamp by Visible Image, then swiped with Magenta tint Pan Pastels, sealed with cheap hairspray, embossed the other side with an M-bossability folder, covered the join with a pretty satin ribbon, the footprint stamp I got from hobbycraft for £1 the other day, I used the same technique as background for this and the second layer which is another Visible image background stamp, I used my trusty spellbinder nesties to create the layer and topper, the flowers and feathers are from stash! Hope you like it? Thank you for visiting xxxx

one for the men!

Good evening lovelies! I'm itching to get out to craft tonight, but it's blowing a gale out there! My craft room is in the garden!
So tonight's post I actually made last night!
So I started with an 8x8 cream scalloped edge card base, I matted with craft card that I'd created a background by embossing a script stamp in clear EP and inked over with brushed corduroy DI I then stamped with mustard seed DI the harlequin background stamp from Visible image, and the Grunge polka dot background in wild honey DI, I then used brushed corduroy dabber style stain to create splats randomly, this created a great Grungy background, I'm loving doing these collage style backgrounds at the moment for men's cards, the next layer I used a large polka dot mask to emboss craft card and inked over with peeled paint DI and rounded the corners, the topper I embossed using the cogs mask and inked with mustard seed DI and the edges with black soot DI to create a frame I used the brushed corduroy DI and the harlequin background stamp again but second generation this time to make it more distressed, then stamped the vintage car which is from Creative Ex travel set in coffee Archival ink! The tickets are also C Ex stamps from the steampunk set which I inked and crumpled up and stuck on with pinflair for some definition! A lot of work but love scratch crafting, I think it came out well? Thank you for visiting today! If you get a chance visit http://www.visibleimage.co.uk their stamps are fab quality and the service is second to none!

Vintage!

Hi lovelies! Hope you're all happy?
I made this card last night and have gone completely out of my comfort zone, I was inspired to have a go at this by the beautiful card I received from Shelley Mimi Bo for the Cards Galore aug card swap!
I started with 8x8 cream scalloped edge card base, created a background using Grunge polka dot background stamp from http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/ in vintage photo DI, then embossed and inked using spun sugar and tumbled glass DI, added pink lace border, the paper is from a 6x6 Vintagey pad can't remember the make sorry, I've had it ages! I inked the edges with vintage photo DI, the stamp is one of those foam ones from QVC had it years, never used it, stamped with vintage photo DI coloured with spectrum noir's then inked with tumbled glass DI, cut and embossed with spellbinder nestie and inked the very edges with vintage photo DI, I have to admit, I usually make my own flowers but these were so pretty in the shop they jumped into my basket and I didn't have the heart to put them back lol that's my excuse anyway! the roses I just added a touch of raspberry ink to them, added a pink feather and swirly pearls, I'm not sure I like the image? It seems a bit ott for my liking, but I like the rest of it, what do you think I'd love some constructive comments. Thank you for looking xxx I'm entering this card into http://www.vintageelusionscardscrafts.blogspot.co.uk/

Sealife tag!

Morning lovelies! I didn't get chance to do a proper bit of crafting last night as I tidied my craft room, but while little legs had her nap after lunch I whipped out and created this tag! Took about 10 mins! Tops.
I used a large tag coloured it using Pan pastels, had enough on the sponges so didn't have to open the pans, sprayed with cheap hairspray to seal, I stamped using Lavinia stamps the plant life in brilliance ink pads in various colours, the sea creatures are also Lavinia Stamps, I highlighted the fish with a white gel pen, punched a few holes just to add more interest, stamped over it with the fabulous Water droplets stamp by Designs by Ryn you can visit her online shop
Here, http://designsbyryn.com/ then to finish I sprayed silver spray and sparkle, unfortunately you can't really see the glitter which is a shame, hope you enjoy your visit, thank you very much for all your very kind comments xxxx

Thank you Trudi!

Hello lovelies an early post from me today! I made this card for a lovely craft friend Trudi Shury, who helped me out recently.
It's a very simple card, 6x6 scalloped edge white card base, matted with black which I rounded the corners, then the next layer also rounded corners and scored two lines down it about inch and half wide ish? I masked either side of the score lines then randomly stamped using versamark, the Grunge polka dots background stamp from http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/ who by the way have wonderful stamps and the quality is second to none! Sorry I digressed a bit lol, then I swiped Magenta tint and magenta pan pastels in stripes over the stamped background sprayed with cheap hairspray, then stamped in black the gorgeous Dandelion wishes by Creative Expressions, glittered the image, added some bling and a thank you, voila! Took all of 20 mins! This is the link to Trudi's blog, if you get the chance pop along and take a look at her wonderful creations xxx http://trudiscrumptious.blogspot.co.uk/ thank you for spending the time to visit my blog, I do appreciate the comments and will always reciprocate!

Basil and Buttercup!

Good evening lovelies! I'm going to apologise now to Ryn from designs by Ryn, because this is NOT the sort of thing her fabulous background stamp was intended for but it arrived today and couldn't wait to use it, but I've got a headache and didn't want to think too much! So just a very quick make tonight! the water droplet stamp I used is from http://designsbyryn.com/index.php/shop1/ check out Ryn's wonderful stamps.
So onto the make, 8x8 scalloped cream card base, I bought this Basil and Buttercup decoupage pad some time ago it was in a sale and I did enjoy doing some good old fashioned crafting last night and really did just want a quick and non thinking card, the backing papers are double sided so only use one which I cut in half and embossed the gingham side with M-bossability and inked the edges with dried marigold DI, inked the edges of dotty side joined them with some cream lace from stash, the decoupage is die cut which I inked each piece with the same DI, I stuck the base image down first then stamped the water droplets stamp in DM DI then built up the layers with my trusty pin flair glue gel. Added a flower from stash and the little whatnots included in the pad and voila! Took no more than 20 mins, thank you for looking xxx

Nothing technical here today!

Good evening lovelies! Can't believe it's dark before 9pm :(
Not my usual type of card, but it was nice to get back to good old cutting out and sticking, I forgot how relaxing cutting out was, so here I have just keep it completely simple, no fancy backgrounds! This image came free with a mag, it is a decoupage booklet that is by Crafters companion, it did come with a boy with a donkey, but me being me had to modify a tiny bit, I used another mag freebie stamps deck chairs and seagull which I coloured with spectrum noirs, I added some stickles to the rock pool and to the seaweed just to give a bit of dimension and the cute little sunglasses which are buttons, I've used these a lot in my summery style cards and I've only one left now so they were a good buy! I matted and layered onto black and then grey, the card base is 8x8 scalloped edge white card. I appreciate all your wonderful comments and thank you very much xxxx

Hmmmm what to do with all those twinchies!

Good evening lovelies! Phew! It's a hot one isn't it? Not complaining though ;)
So as the title suggest's! This is what I've done with two of them tonight.
The first one is my illusion one from our first challenge, 6x6 craft card, I stamped using Wild honey DI second generation only to create a more distressed effect, the wonderful grunge polka dot background from Visible Image, on cream card I stamped a wooden script stamp I've had for years, using Galaxy gold brilliance ink, when dry I lightly inked using vintage photo DI, then using my fab flitter glu from Indigoblu I stamped the Harlequin background stamp also from visible image, then used gold gilding flakes I really scrubbed hard to get a lot off to achieve a distressed effect, then stuck on my twinchie!
The second, I used 5x5 white card and masked the edges, using stampe from the portobello road set I stamped using versamark then used pan pastels, sealed with cheap hairspray and voila! Just a quick little plug for the lovely Helen and Mark Visible Image, check out there website their stamps are of excellent quality http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/default.htm  thank you for visiting my blog today, I love to read what you have to say, good or bad I really appreciate it xxx

Grunge....ish!

Good evening lovelies! Phew it's been a hot one here! Not complaining though!
Well today I received my fab new stamps from Visible Image! And I couldn't wait to play! You must check them out, Helen and Mark give the most amazing service! And their stamps are of a very high quality, I ordered Wednesday and received them today! http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/ so here's what I created! I used Harlequin background, Grunge polka dot background and Grunge flourish, all from Visible Image, and combined with a couple of Creative Expressions stamps: sentiment and cogs background, the script is an old wooden stamp I've had for years, so I masked the edges of 8x8 scalloped edge card base, stamped the script with antique linen DI then over stamped using the Harlequin background which I used wild honey DI second generation, as I wanted a more distressed effect for the background, then lightly inked with mustard seed DI, the topper I stamped in white brilliance ink the script then inked using, broken china, chipped sapphire, mustard seed crushed olive and wild honey DI, then over stamped very randomly without a block the grunge polka dots in broken china the harlequin in wild honey, the cogs in chipped sapphire, the sentiment and Grunge flourish are stamped in black, added a couple of bits of twine and viola! Hope you like it, I'm quite enjoying this technique at the mo xxx

More dandelion wishes!

Good evening lovelies! Bit of a mixed weather day today!
I saw this technique in a mag, this is my interpretation of it, it basically just layering up stamps and DI here's what I used to creat the background of my topper:
The stamps I've used are a combo of script, the leaf is creative expressions and the circles and bubbles are from http://designsbyryn.com/index.php/about/ designs by Ryn, check out her designs, they are fab, so using glossy card I stamped text using white brilliance heat dried then blended various DI buffed after dry then stamped randomly with the same colour DI's, the dandelion and sentiment are from the same set as the leaf,
This is a close up, then I just used a black spectrum noir thick end to edge. The background I just used the same stamps and colours on cream card which I'd divided into three, embossed using a leafy folder and used the De-bossed side and inked edges with crushed olive DI, I'm quite pleased how it's turned out for an experiment, thank you for visiting xxx

Zoe, Challenge 4# add a flower!

Zoe, Challenge 4# Add a flower!
My first I used bubble wrap and versamark, dusted over with Hansa yellow pan pastel, sprayed with cheap hairspray to seal, the poppy stamp came free with mag which I coloured using pro markers!
My second I used washi tape that came free with a mag, flower is grand peonie spellbinder and paper from stash, butterfly another freebie from mag stamped onto same paper as flower, the brad in the centre of flower is from my stash.
My third I inked with pink sherbet adirondack ink and stamped using wild plum adirondack ink some foliage from a Lavinia foliage stamp, the flower I cut some text paper from stash using a Daisy spellbinders die I inked whilst still in situ with raspberry adirondack ink added some irredecent glitter using Quickie glue pen.

Snowflake bauble!

Good evening Lovelies, well after an iffy morning with a light shower, the sun came out and we had a lovely afternoon.
Tonight's make I'm entering into http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/photo-inspiration.html Winter wonderland challenge. I have gone with colour, Gold and cream!
8x8 cream scalloped edge card base, matted with an antique gold Hunkydory card which I pierced around the edges, then cut an aperture using spellbinders heirloom bauble and a smaller one in a tawny cream card and also pierced the edges, I mounted this on foam to give dimension, the smaller bauble I embossed with a snowflake folder and stuck it flat into the aperture, I cut 3 poinsettia's with my spellbinders, in the cream and gold alternated I moulded them to give some dimension and used pinflair glue gel to stick them together and onto the card, I added some pearls to the centre, added a swirly pearl embellie and a sentiment which I just matted with the gold and kept it very simple. Thank you for taking the time to visit xxxx

Good evening Lovelies, what a nice day today, hope you all had a lovely day too?
Tonight's make is a wedding card, my best friends son is getting wed end of sept, so I've got time to change my mind on this card? It's a very posh wedding in Royal Tonbridge Wells.
The theme of the wedding is white and purple, I have pinched the ribbons and jewel off the invite, is that wrong do you think? But I wanted it to match the theme and they were so pretty!
8x8 white scalloped edge card matted with more white card I'd rounded the corners and pierced around the edges, I cut the next layer rounded the corners cut about 3rd off, I embossed 2 3rds using M-bossability folder and the other 3rd I stamped and heat embossed with silver pearl EP, a foliage stamp from my cant leave alone Creative Ex dandelion wishes stamp set, used the recycled ribbon to cover the join, R L are templates I cut using white card and heat embossed same stamp, same EP, I wanted them to intertwine but not easy letters to do that with, but managed a little, this is the bit I'm not sure about would love your opinions on it? Honestly I won't be offended! Then cut 3 flowers using marianne dies and my wonderful spellbinders foliage dies! I like how's it's turned out I'm just not sure about the lettering? Texture this time!

Good evening Lovelies! What a fab day for the Olympics! Not a huge sports fan, but its always nice to hear we're getting medals especially golds!
Tonight's make is one for the men, I am entering this for the DT call challenge for Creative Expressions http://blog.creative-expressions.uk.com/2012/08/2012-creative-expressions-design-team.html the theme is "texture" I'm really excited about this because I love CEx products as you can probably tell by my posts, so I started with 8x8 cream scalloped base I inked the edges with Walnut stain DI, I matted with Tim Holtz paper which again I inked the edges, i ripped the edges and really scrumpled up Glassine craft paper and ripped little tears all along one edge and curled it, using some fawn card I stamped using CEx stamps with Walnut stain and Vintage photo DI randomly and inked with vintage photo, then ran it through my GC using a clock EF, I inked with walnut stain over the embossed bits, scrumpled it up a bit to create a Vintagey effect, matted that onto the glassine paper, I stamped the sentiment with WS masked then stamped cogs and clock hands, inked with VP, I had to highlight the text with white gel pen as it got a bit lost in the background, inked and rolled to create a scroll, stamped and cut out the watches and fob chain and decoupaged them. It's rather busy isn't it? Thank you for visiting xx

8x8 cream scalloped card base! Matted with more cream card that I'd pierced round the edge, more cream card this time I cut, the smaller side I stamped with my fabulous C Ex dandelion wishes stamp set in peeled paint DI and lightly inked the edges with bundled sage DI, the bigger side I stamped second generation to get a more delicate image with peeled paint and bundled sage DI using the same stamp, I then ran it through my beloved grand calibur, using m-bossability folder, to cover the join I used a lovely sage green ribbon, the topper is the smallest of the new grand nesties circles, I lightly inked with bundled sage DI, then I stamped the Dandelion and sentiment all from the same set with peeled paint DI then heat embossed with clear EP, I mounted it onto 3D foam for dimension, I deliberated on whether to add flowers and foliage and decided, in this case less is more, what do you think? Thanks for visiting, much appreciated xxx
