Zoe challenge #12 "Let it snow"

Good morning Lovelies! So here we are our final challenge for 2012! I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone for the support we've had in our first year! Please note that this challenge ends on the 4th of January and the new challenge on the 5th of every month! So only once a month, this will give everyone more time to make some beautiful 2x2 inch square pieces of art!
Our theme this time is of course "Let it snow" a fitting theme to end to the year! Here are my samples!
I made some cards earlier using this background, which was an A4 sheet of white paper, I splodged blue DI can't remember which now? I think it was two shades? Onto my SplodgeAway mat and spritzed with water and swooshed the paper through it and heat dried! The snowflake is the large Visible Image snowflake, offset using Flitterglu and silver gilding flakes, penguin was a little £1 stamp from Hobbycraft coloured with Promarkers, i added some Polar White flowersoft to his hat then I mounted it onto a piece of navy blue card!
This time using the same background, The little reindeer was a freebie from a mag, stamped in brown ink and masked the little snowflakes for the background are Lavinia stamps, using white brilliance ink!
Very simple! Another freebie from mag, heat embossed useing a sparkly white EP and again the  Lavinia snow flakes in versamark for watermark effect in the corners, and a mauve gem!
And my final one, which I think is my favourite? Again same background, the skates and flourish were From the same freebie set as the reindeer, flourish embossed with white sparkly EP, the skates I coloured with pro markers added glitter and decoupaged, and added some gems to the corners.
I hope you like my samples? I've really enjoyed making these, please pop along to the challenge blog and take a look and the other wonderful creations Barbara and Eileen have created and of course have a go! Besides who wouldn't pass up the chance to win our fabulous super duper Winners badge? http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/ Thank you for visiting xxx Merry Christmas every one and a very happy and healthy New Year xxx

Fairy Tag!

Good evening Lovelies, hope everyone is keeping dry and safe? Wow this freaky weather doesn't seem to want to do one!
Tonight I thought I'd post a couple of things I've created challenges, one the theme was make it "round" so I altered a CD, I've never done it before and can't say I like it that much! I created it with Distress stains on white paper, the cd itself I gesso'd it first then blobbed Distress stain over it and heat dried it, it took ages! The stamps are Prickly Pear, I stuck black lace around the edge with some redline on the back.
And then my tag, I made tonight, with Pan Pastels, Turquoise tint, turquoise and turquoise shade and Hansa yellow, the foliage is a stampers anonymous Tim Holtz set, the rest is Lavinia Stamps,  and added glitter!
Thank you so much for visiting xxx

Lol, I won't be offended, was just playing with my distress stains , just love doing the splats so rewarding, lol the stamps are Dylusions, added some liquid pearls to centres of flowers and accent beads to some of the leaves!

5 Gold Rings!

Good evening Lovelies! Well it's certainly been cold today! Beautiful sunshine though! Have you got your decs up yet? We're doing ours tomorrow hopefully, hubby is off work until Thursday so he can get up in that loft!
Tonight I have made a little tag for the SplodgeAway challenge, http://www.splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/3rd-splodgeaway-monthly-challenge-12.html the theme is 12 days of Christmas, now I struggled with this as I didn't have anything I could think of to use, then I thought of 5 go-ld ringgggggs la la la la lol jump rings sitting in a bag for a long time not getting used!
So I used craft card and cut a tag 3.5 x 5.5 inch and rounded corners and punched a hole, I inked the edges using my SplodgeAway mat and vintage photo DI and heat dried then stamped with a music stamp with walnut stain DI all over to create a background and lightly brushed with irredescent mica powder to create a subtle shimmer, I then mixed 2 greens of distress stains and some maimeri texture paste together and using part of the Holly SplodgeAway mask, just before it was completely dry I added some red gems for berries, randomly stuck on the jump rings added the sentiment and a lovely velvet ribbon and gold bells, voila! Thank you for taking a look today xx
