Good evening Lovelies! What a gorgeous weekend, weather wise we've had! I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and the lovely weather?

I used versamark ink to stamp both the background and the little feet then swiped over with Pan Pastel, the background stamp s by Visible Image the feet stamp was £1 from Hobby Crafts, I used the gorgeous Linen texture card from Papermill direct!
Thank you for taking a peep xx

My DT samples for create and craft, SplodgeAway shows

Good evening Lovelies! Well I say "good" when actually I'm not well I've picked up an awful head cold and cough from the little one, now to me a colds a cold, but boy do I feel rough with this one!

Anyway less of that, what an exciting day for me and SplodgeAway! I made several samples for the show on Create and Craft, however the first show nearly everything sold out, and as there were some brilliant demos by the fab Tom and Hazel they didn't really show many samples, however the second show there was only two sets left and fortunately the one set "faces" was the one I had to play with so at least 3 of my samples were shown! Here are all the samples I made!

If you've not got any SplodgeAway products you must check them out! Their SplodgeAway mat is fantastic, I can't blend Distress inks now without, why not pop along and check them out here

I did the background with my Gelli plate then lightly inked around the houses mask, the fabulous raindrops are by Designs by Ryn which I gave the Glossy ascents treatment, the sentiment is by Visible Image!

I did two versions of ths card one using white distress paint and EP the other with silver distress stains and EP, I used Dylusions spray inks with the Skyline mask, then with black soot DI stencilled the face mask, the background is also a Splodgeaway mask.

The stamps are from Inkylicious, the rest is just layers of masks!
Used some Fran-tage!
Dylusions spray inks!

Visible Image stamp!
I masked over the flower design which had been created using my Gelli plate with a Splodgeaway mask, I cut it out, steamed with versamark and heat embossed the stamp s Inkylicious! I don't really like this one!

I have actually made 2 cards because I couldn't decide which one I wanted posted, so I left it to Sandie to decide, and this is the one she chose!

A very simple card created with Pan Pastels and a beautiful Inkylicious stamp, the butterfly is from Stampin up!
I use the gorgeous Linen texture card by Papermill Direct
Here's my second card, created with my gorgeous Jofy stamps by Paperartsy, I coloured them with pencils, the background is "Square peg round hole" by Indigoblu, a very versatile stamp, I just inked in 2 colours.
I actually made these cards for a friend and fellow foster Carer, she wanted four for her Foster kids to give to their teachers at the end of term! She was very pleased I'm relieved to say, I made each one different!
Thank you for popping along today! I would love it if you popped along to the challenge blog and leave a comment and join in, plus we have an amazingly talented DT xx

Tag using Sweet Poppy Stencil and Visible Image Butterfly

Good morning lovelies and a very warm welcome to my new followers! Well at this present time the sun is shining, but it is only 6.56 am so anything can happen, it's also my 20th wedding anniversary today! I can't believe 20 years ago we were in Las Vegas taking our wedding vows?

Today I'm posting a tag I made last night to enter Visible Image challenge

I used the gorgeous Linen texture card from Papermill direct, I used my Pan Pastels to colour it then of course sealed it with cheap hairspray, I used the script from Studio 490 stamp set using black ink second generation to give a faded effect, then stamped and heat embossed with white Stampendous fine detail EP the gorgeous flowers which are Clarity stamps, then using a magnetic sheet and the gorgeous Agapanthus stencil by Sweet Poppy I added the glossy black texture paste also by Sweet poppy to add some dimension and interest, and left it to dry, they do dry fairly quickly I left this an hour as it was a thin application, but over night is better, I was very careful not to get my fingernail near it while I attached the gorgeous Large Butterfly by Visible Image which I'd pre-coloured with Pan pastels and heat embossed using black fine detail EP by Stampendous.

You can just about see the fabulous texture created but the linen card and the dimension of the paste!

Thank you for visiting, have a great day xx

Gelli plate flowers!

Good morning Lovelies, on what looks like a lovely day, mind you it's only 6.19 am and the sun is shining, but anything can happen lol!

I'm feeling very excited today because tomorrow (Saturday) I'm off to the lovely Eileen Godwin's workshop, such fun, such a lovely bunch of friendly ladies, can't wait!

Just a short post today, I made this card last night for a daily challenge and won, it's only for fun, but it's nice to win isn't it? Anyway the theme was "lots of lovely flowers", I had no clue what I was going to do? So went with the flow and here's the result.

I'm really pleased how it came out, the flowers and leaves are Gelli plate prints cut with Spellbinders, the rest speaks for itself really! Thank you for taking the time to visit xxx

SplodgeAway project!

Good morning Lovelies! What's happened to the weather? Yuck!

So today I'm very excited as its my first official post as DT for SplodgeAway! This week we are featuring SplodgeAways very own High Res Card! It's especially for using your markers and colouring in mediums! We were asked to use it and review it!

I used Pro markers, they glided like a hot knife through butter! Really smooth lovely card stock!

Now I'm not the best at colouring in so I used several sets of my Jofy stamps by Paperartsy, not only are they easy to colour in but they are gorgeous, I really love these stamps! The background I masked the edges of an 8x8 base card, then using my SplodgeAway Lattice mask I inked lightly and heavier randomly using Dried Marigold and Shabby Shutters DI, I framed it with some squiggly lines with a fine liner pen, then matted and layered my topper onto red and black card stock!

Thank you very much for visiting, please pop along and visit http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/ and leave a comment!

Have a great day, hope the weather doesn't spoil your plans? A perfect crafting day xxx

So here's his Father's Day card!

It's 8x8 I've used Visible Image stamps, which are great quality, check them out here! The background I created using my Gelli plate!

Sweet Poppy Stencil

Good Evening Lovelies and a warm welcome to new followers! So who ordered the rain? It certainly wasn't me!

Just a very quick post tonight, just thought I'd share with you a tag I made today for a challenge! It's one tag with two versions, I made it with pearls on it first then remembered the theme was a tag with buttons, so off they came, I kind of prefer the pearl version, what do you think?

I used the Poppy stencil by Sweet Poppy, I inked through first with DI dried with heat tool then secured the stencil back down again over the design then used translucent paste also Sweet Poppy, then carefully removing the stencil I chucked clear micro beads onto it! A technique I have to confess I've pinched from Eileen Godwin, a very talented lady and friend you can check out her fab creations here!

Here's the first with pearls

Thank you for visiting, please leave a comment, I love to read them xxx

Gelli plate meets SplodgeAway

Good evening Lovelies! Strange old weather!

Here's another challenge piece I made tonight, I didn't win! Anyway the theme was to make anything as long as it wasn't Square or rectangle! Hmmmm I thought! "I like square" but I bought an E-Bosser today :D yippee £149.99 from the Range a saving of 50 quid! well chuffed been wanting one a while, so as I had my new toy what better way to play than to create a non square card!

The card base I used mustard seed, spiced marmalade and gathered twigs DI through the fabulous lattice mask from SplodgeAway you can get it here, the stamps are, newsprint flourish from Creative expression, flowers and sentiment are Dylusions, the topper I created the background with my Gelli plate with a comb, die cut then stamped using Julianna from Inkylicious and Raindrops from http://designsbyryn.com/

Not to everyone's taste I think? But thank you for visiting xxx

New Twinchies Challenge blog!

Good morning Lovelies! I like to give a very warm welcome to my new followers! Hope everyone had a fab bank holiday weekend enjoying the gorgeous sunshine?

I have some exciting news! As you can see there is a new Twinchies challenge blog! The lovely Beverley Tonk from Beecrafty http://www.beecrafty.net/ had heard that Show us your Twinchies was ending this month and thought there needed to be a Twinchie challenge blog! I couldn't agree more lol! So here we are! http://twinchieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Beverley asked me to be on the DT!

Of course I jumped at the chance, I just love the little things!

The first challenge is "Free for all"

so you can create a Twinchie in any style, colour or theme you like.

Twinchies are 2 inch by 2 inch square,

you can use whatever medium you like?

My first I dipped my card into melt pot and stamped using the
fabulous Circles cluster set from http://designsbyryn.com/
I inked it with gold brilliance before stamping into
the molten utee,

The flowers were chip board bits I've had years,

so into the melt pot they went too,

I added Yellow dew drops to the centers.

I used part of the "Dandelion" stencil from Sweet poppy
with dimension stencil medium also from Sweet poppy, while
Wet I chucked on some clear micro beads and a bit or glitter.

Gelli plate background, Jofy minis stamp by Paperartsy,
I had to cut and piece together this one as it was too long,
you can see the join lol!
I coloured it with Spectrum Noirs.

Same Gelli plate BG with free stamp from Craft stamper mag.
Coloured in with Spectrum Noirs and washed over with Dustress stain.
Thank you so much for visiting, please come along and join in?
they are so much fun to make, they can seem a little daunting to start with,
but they soon become very addictive.
Have a great day :D xx
