Another page of my Journal!

Good evening my lovely blog friends and new followers, welcome to my blog!

I have created another Journal page, which I have to confess I pinched the idea from the brilliantly talented Eileen Godwin! http://eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.co.uk/

please pop along and visit this fabulously inspiring blog,

I'm a bit of a fan! Lol does it notice?

On a 7x7 peice of Ivory Hammered card from Papermill Direct, I inked and blended DI, blobbed some red ink on with bubble wrap and inked through some sequin waste, then using a Dylusions mask spritzed water then blotted with tissue, I stamped the fabulous stamp from Visible Image set with Perfect Medium and heat embossed with black Cosmic Shimmer detail EP, the words I just stamped with black Archival, I then just embossed the sides with a Damask EF from crafters companion one of their 8x8 ones, once embossed I just rubbed on some Goldleaf Rub N Buff over the embossed bits! I'm really pleased how it turned out! Thank you for visiting xxx

Very exciting news!

Good morning Lovelies! Well a very exciting day for me! I was invited to join as a DT member to a brand new challenge blog, by the very talented Sandra J Wright, of course I was thrilled to be asked and accepted, along with me are the very talented; Nicky Wilcox, Moira Gray and Tina Teasdale, so today is the launch of our brand new Challenge blog! It's an "Anythings goes challenge blog" which means you can make anything you like as long as it fits our theme! We will be running fortnightly challenges! So to kick off our first theme is "Anything goes" so nice and easy!

Here's our link!

So here's my sample! It's a bit out of my comfort zone, I love vintage style but sadly I don't feel I do it well myself! However I bought this gorgeous Stampendous stamp a while ago and hadn't used it, so thought I'd better! So I kept it simple! I stamped onto watercolour card in Chipped Saphire DI and just used a water brush to soften it and add shading, once dry I added some irredescent glitter to the roofs and snowy bits, sadly it doesn't really show in the photo as I kept it fairly subtle, I used 8x8 Kraft card base which I matted with Tim Holtz Kraft resist paper pad (Christmas) which I inked with Chipped Saphire DI on my Splodgeaway mat, a fab bit of kit! I embossed some ivory hammered card from Papermill Direct using an EF and lightly inked using a brown DI, the embellishments were cut using TH decorative strips, festive greenery and Mini snowflake rosettes, onto TH resist Kraft resist pad and inked using various DI! I hope you like it? I'm fairly pleased with it but feel I need a lot more practise with this style! Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you will join us on our challenge? And of course pop over and check out the other wonderfully talented DT's samples!

Another Journal page

Good afternoon Lovelies! Brrrrrrr! It's blimin cold! A great excuse to drink hot tea and craft :) bliss! So I've had a great time getting inky messy fingers lol!

I've done another page of my Art Journal amongst other projects which can't be blogged at mo! ;)

It's similar colours as the last but you will see by the bottom photo why! So I've used my Dylusions spray inks, texture paste with Dylusions and Spodgeaway Masks! I've used, Barbed wire and butterfly from Visible Image, the sentiment is Dylusions and the little wild flower sprigs are Studio 490, background stamps I've used Justrite harlequin/script background and Indigoblu crackle background, I bleached the butterfly after stamping with Archival black ink! Unfortunately the texture down the left side doesn't really show up so well in the photo but I coloured it with red DI once dried! I'm so loving playing like this! Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave, it really makes my day :)

Here are the two pages together, I wanted them to be similar in colour and style but not the same! If you get my meaning lol!

Art Journal

Good evening Lovelies and a warm welcome to new followers, I hope your all well and having a good week so far?

So I bought a cheap album from hobbycraft, just plain white it's 8x8 so I thought I'd use it as an Art Journal as they are so expensive to buy! So here is my very first page, I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out, I enjoyed using lots of different techniques! Texture paste through Dylusions masks, spritzing with Dylusions spray inks, stamping and bleaching, the flowers are Studio 490 and the bird is by Visible Image It does feel good getting mucky hands! I hope you like it? Thank you for visiting xxx

Happy Birthday Princess!

Good morning Lovelies! And a very warm welcome to my new followers! Roll on the spring!

Well today's card is the card I have made for our gorgeous little princess Millie! Millie was our Foster girl that many of you know moved to her new family a month ago! I'm still grieving but I get better and stronger everyday! Anyway today is her 3rd Birthday, we get to speak to her tonight on the phone and we are going to visit on Sunday, I can't wait to see her but I'm also nervous too, because I know leaving her behind is going to kill us again! She was with us for 22 months! She seems to be settling well into her new family, and they of course are living their long awaited dream :)

I have made various versions of this card, I don't really do cute or character cards, I like Wellington bear and I think it's a versatile image?

Millie the day she moved aw!

There were no papers used on this card, I made everything from stamps, ink and white card! Well apart from the bling and ribbon of course lol! Hope you like my card? Thank you very much for visiting xxx

Splat Christmas Tree

Good morning Lovelies, and a very warm welcome to my new followers, I hope you enjoy visiting my blog, I certainly enjoy reading your comments, even the constructive ones ;)

A while back I won an Indigoblu stamp of my choice in a competition on Facebook, I can't tell you how thrilled I was, their products are second to none, I love them, and they are a British company!

So onto my card, 8x8 just for a change lol ;) this was the stamp I chose! I just created splats with various Distress Stains stamped over top, added liquid pearls and buttons, bit of mat and layering job done! The sentiment is from Creative Expressions and the embossing folder is a spellbinder one! I hope you like it? It's a bit different!

And the sentiment is from Creative Expressions, I love this sentiment! This card took me 10 minutes max! Thank you for visiting xxx

Twins card

Good evening Lovelies! Welcome to my new followers, I hope your all well and managing to keep warm?

Tonight I was asked by my hubby to make a card for a work colleague who's wife has given birth to twins, one of each! He wanted it big enough for them all to sign, so I've made it A4!

I used Centura Pearl card base, then a layer of white paper which I pierced all the way around the edge then another layer of CP which I cut and embossed the bottom piece with M-Bossability folder, the feet stamp is from Hobbycraft £1, bargain! I stamped using Perfect Medium then swiped over with Pan Pastels, the Congrats stamp I heat Embossed, I can't remember where it's from, added ribbon, bling and buttons, voila! Hope you like it? Hubby was pleased so that's good! Thank you very much for visiting, I really appreciate your comments xxx

Kiss kiss!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Well I'm enjoying my holiday, I have wifi in my room so it's great I can keep in touch, there isn't a lot to do here other than sunbathe swim and chill, which is exactly what I need right now, I'm waking early as the jetlag is still very present that's the problem being 8 hours ahead, so my early waking is when I catch up with my blog etc!

My card I made for a friend for her boyfriend for Valentines day, she asked for lips as he calls her "sugar lips" lol I had to chuckle to myself when she told me, so here's what I came up with!

I embossed with the card suits mask by SplodgeAway then whilst still in situ I spritzed with Dylusions ink sprays black and red! Die cut the hearts, the lips are from a set by a famous American crafter, i cant for the life of me remember her name? not Martha Stuart though! a lovely Facebook friend Karen Willis very kindly lent them to me, the sentiment is from my stash.
I'm entering this card into visibleimagechallenge

Zoe February Challenge "One for the men"

Good morning Lovelies! My second DT post for today, this time Cards Galore the theme this month is "One for the men"

I have scheduled this post as I'm away in Malaysia on my holidays so I hope it's posted on time? I haven't had a holiday for nearly 2 years so I'm certainly ready for it! We've had a pretty tough time lately as our little foster girl moved onto adoption on 17th jan after 22 months with us! Hopefully I will return home refreshed and ready to give my heart away to another needy baby?

So onto my card, 8x8, I started with Kraft card, which I used a SplodgeAway mask of cogs and sprayed with lime green and blue Dylusions spray inks, then I stamped all over with black soot DI a script background stamp, I embossed the metal floor mask also from SplodgeAway then swiped over with green Distress stain, the next layer is again DI in green and stamped with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps, the topper is a free stamp set that came with a mag, which again I inked with green, blobbed some water and blotted to create some interest then stamped and inked in black soot DI, I added a few little highlights using a white gel pen!

Thank you for visiting, I hope you join in this month, we had amazing response last month and we are very grateful to everyone who entered, what a fabulous start to 2013!

Zoe Challenge #8 "A sprinkling of red and romance"

Good Morning Lovelies! Well I don't know about you? But I'm glad January is over! It's been a roller coaster month for me, my little foster girl moved onto adoption on the 17th after being with us for 22 months, so it's been a very sad time for us! A good thing for her, but the loss we are suffering is awful! It get's better with time!

Anyway hopefully this has posted on time? I've scheduled it as we are away on our holidays in Malaysia for 16 days?

The sentiment is Creative Expressions which I stamped and masked then stamped over with a background stamp by Justrite onto the heart Id cut out of the apeture, the aperture was cut first then I embossed with an 8x8 EF by Crafters Companion, it's not terribly clear in the photo but my first layer I pierced around the edges, the roses and leaves are cut from felt!

Thank you for visiting, I hope you can join in: The Cupboard Trilogy
