A few dabbles

Good evening Lovelies.
I hope you've enjoyed the glorious weekend weather?
I've spent mine potting up summer plants and ache over my aches lol it's no fun aging, especially when you have an inquisitive toddler getting into mischief every few seconds and every time I turn my back, bless her, she's adorable.

So here's a few dabbles I've made over the last week, I don't blog as often as I used to, simply because I rarely get any comments now Facebook has changed its notification settings!!!

My first and third cards are made using Altenew stamps, theses cards are for friends birthdays, my second card is my Mums birthday card which was yesterday (Saturday) I love this stamp set by Donna Downey, and my final project is a small 5x7" canvas coloured with Brusho's and a stencil on the background then I used this gorgeous Daisy stencil from Designs by Georgina, it's one of my favourites, I used "Expand-it" once dry (over night in this case) I painted using Brusho's and heated with heat tool until it all beaded up, its funky stuff.

Challenge 35 week 1 by Zoe - Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies and welcome to my first Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge post this month.

This month is going to be the last for the Colour Challenge sadly, I know lots of people are going to miss it, but avid Chocolate Baroque followers will be aware that we have many exciting things going on and sometimes not as much time as we'd like.

All the info you need to enter the challenge is on the blog, just follow my link above for the deets.

I love the colours this month and I've made a card for my first project.

Here is the Swatch.

I started by blending Distress Oxides and Distress inks with a blending tool, and spritzed water here and there before drying, I then used the corner element to Dusky Damask  which I spritzed with water and stamped in the top corner to give a shadowy effect I blotted and dried it. I used Floral notes which I heat embossed using Versamark Inkpad and white embossing powder, I used the same colour inkpads on my mat and water brush to colour my flowers, added the Word from Journal Today and some dots using a white pen, also some chunky Frantage for texture.

Thank you for visiting, I hope I've inspired you to join in in our final challenge. Have a great day xx Zoe xx

Created in less than 15 minutes!

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you've had a great weekend?
Today I'm sharing with you 3 projects I made for Chocolate Baroque DT blog featuring quick and easy projects.
The twice monthly post features projects made in 15 minutes or less using of course Chocolate Baroque stamps.

I have used two large greyboard tags for my first two. I used Gelato's scribbled on randomly and smudged with damp finger, I used a brick style stencil with a wet wipe and then using large bubble wrap dipped in black Gesso, it only takes a few seconds to dry, I stamped over using Archival inkpads and finished off with silver Gilding wax around the edges.

My second tag I started with white Gesso on large bubble wrap, once dried I scribbled over with Gelato's and again using a damp finger to blend.

I made a postcard as my third project, I started by dabbing Distress Oxides onto a craft mat and spritzed with water and then just picking up the colour onto my card, this technique is known as "Wrinklefree distressing" I used a heat tool to dry but also flicking more water onto the ink to create more texture, you can do this process as many times as you like providing its dry between layers, in this case I only did it once as I liked the white spac, simple stamping using Versafine Inkpad and Gilding wax around the edge.

Thank you visiting today, I hope you like my projects. Have a great day xx Zoe xx
