Teal botanicals!

Good evening Lovlies! Brrrrrrr it's chilly and rather windy on this Hallows Eve!

We rarely get more than one lot of Trick or Treaters thank goodness, we've had none so far tonight! I really don't like all this trick or treat stuff, it's fun dressing up for parties and stuff but knocking on doors scaring the living daylights out of people really annoys me! Bah humbug! Lol
Tonight's card is 8x8 white base, my first layer I heat embossed the lovely foliage from my Creative Expressions Dandelion wishes stamp set with white EP then inked over with peacock feathers DI from the spring set, the rest is all spellbinder dies the flowers and butterflies I inked with DI, I embossed the boarder with M-bossability folder! I added some of the pewter cosmic shimmer mica flakes to the flower centres! Thank you so much for visiting tonight! I love reading all your lovely comments, it's so nice to hear nice things when there's so many nasty things going on in the world! Xxx I'm entering this card into http://papercraftjunkieschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/pcj-digi-challenge-no-3-things-with.html

Birds nest!

Good evening Lovelies! And a warm welcome to new followers!
Tonight's card I made a while ago and I've been toiling whether I like it or not? Jury's still out on that one! So thought I'd see what you think?
As usual it's 8x8 white card base matted with two layers of white, one of which I pierced the edges the other I embossed, the topper is glossy card, I stamped with a script background stamp I've had years, with white brilliance ink pad, and heat dried, once dry I blended DI I used a combo of the spring and summer sets, then I over stamped in the same colours but randomly using Harlequin background, grunge polka dots and grunge flourish stamps all by Visible Image, using a fine line black pen I made an edge drawing two wobbly lines, the bird, nest and flower are all spellbinders, the nest is made from the Cherry blossom set and sprig from the autumn set. Added a feather and brad from stash. So what do ya think?

Anyway now for my post, I made this card a couple of weeks ago! This is the card that won a mini comp over on the Visible image group, it was to make a get well card for the lovely Helen, who was recovering from an op, I won a great stash which I blogged 3 or 4 blogs ago featuring Boofles! Anyway my card that won was created with visible image stamps and pan pastels, violet tint, spellbinders, bling and lace from stash! It's worth checking out their stamps they are great quality, why not visit here: http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/ thank you so much for visiting xxx

Gone a bit tag tastic!

Good evening Lovelies! Wow this weathers giving me the pip! I so hate rain!
So here's yet another tag! Using the summer DI's which I flicked and blotted some water on to get a more distressed effect! The stamps are from Stampers anonymous, not sure what their called sorry! And the leaves and followers are from Dylusions how does your garden grow set, all stamped in Walnut stain DI I picked out bits of the designs and using my water brush and blotting to lighten the ink just to create some highlights, I decoupaged the key and the flowers, highlighted with a white gel pen! Thank you for visiting xxx

Heres what i did with one of my Autumn Twinchies!

Good evening Lovlies! Sorry I've not blogged for a few days, I've been a bit busy with things that can't be blogged at the moment! Plus a little pre-occupied with little ones pre-adoption meetings etc! An emotional time coming up :(
I made this a few days ago! It's an Autumn themed card. I used a technique I saw in a mag, using Gesso! I spread it quite thickly onto two identical sized card and sandwiched them together, then very carefully and slowly peeled them apart and left them to dry over night! Once dry I blobbed directly onto the paper a couple of green DI then spritzed with water and just used my fingers to smear it over randomly, dried with heat tool then with large bubble wrap inked with wild honey and olive green DI randomly stamped, using the wild honey again I stencilled the leaves from Dylusions stencil down the left side and top corner and the dashed type pattern along the bottom once dry I used a fine tip black pen to highlight the leaves and pattern to make it pop a bit, the leaves on the right side are also Dylusions, I inked the edges with black soot DI added my twinchie and a sentiment! Thank you for visiting xxx I'm entering this card into:

Look what I won!

Good evening Lovelis! What a yucky wet day! I do hate rain!
I made a get well card for the lovely Helen (Visible Image) as a mini challenge in the group, and to my surprise I won! I can't blog the card yet as I don't think she has received it yet! But here's what I won and what I've made with some of it! Now I'm not a lover of kits, but I did enjoy using these decoupage images! Thank you for visiting xxx

The papers etc are from stash, I flower soft the snowman and Santa hat on top card xxx

A bit of this and a bit of that!

Good morning Lovelies! I wanted to share a card with you that I made the other night! I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
It's an 8x8 white card base, matted with a very dark brown card,
I used my SplodgeAway mat to blend DI, and bleached the flowers and butterfly, I stencilled the edge! Did some splattering and Fran-tage a added a few gems, the stamps are 2 different sets from Studio 490! The ladybug was silver and I used alcohol ink to make it green. I continued the design in a more subtle way on the card base too using old paper DI and that lovely Dylusions stencil!
I hope you like this card? It was very experimental! I'm entering this card into: http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/first-splodgeaway-monthly-challenge.html

6x6 card base, matted with linen texture card, I used visible image harlequin background and the grunge flourish! And TH text stamp with versamark, then used pan pastels over the top, sprayed with cheap hairspray to seal, I then repeated the grunge flourish with brown archival and the honeycomb from studio 490 randomly, I used wild honey DI with a Dylusions stencil to create the leaves around the corner then brushed over with a bronze mica powder to give some shimmer, couple of splats with rusty hinge DS, black spider is from Dylusions Bats and bits set, and of course Dream stamp is VI, I added some texture in the bottom corner with Fran-tage embossing enamel and fragments, bit of highlighting with white gel pen and finished off with walnut stain DI round edges voila! A technique laden card but didn't take very long.

Zoe Challenge 8 Spooky stuff! So there you have it! The theme to our next Challenge, wow the time flies by far too quickly!

My second one the background is the new metallic distress stain, on linen texture card, the web I'd stamped and embossed first before applying the stain, the spiders I heat embossed using cosmic shimmer Lava black EP and decoupaged onto the web, the stamps are all Dylusions!

My third! Again linen card, stamped with versamark using the harlequin background by Visible image then pan pastels over the top and sealed with cheap hairspray! The clowns hats are also from the same Dylusions set as the spider one it's called Bats and bits! I used Spectrum noirs to colour the hats and highlighted with a white gel pen, printed the words from computer!

And my final one again is linen card using pan pastels the same stamp set the tree is actually only an outline so I coloured it in with Spectrum noirs, etc etc!

Good evening Lovelies! An early post for me tonight, not been feeling well all day :(!
I made this card for a friend of ours daughter who was 7 last week! I am also entering into http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ it's their very first challenge and the theme is "Anything goes"!
She's not a girlie girl at all so it was hard to know what to do? So this is what I came up with!
6x6 white scalloped edge card base which I embossed using one of the new 6x6 EF by CC, I stamped the image and coloured with Spectrum noirs! Cut using spellbinders! The next layer is a double sided foundations paper which I embossed whilst still in the die but leaving the folder open so not to cut it, whilst maintaining the embossed edge from the spellbinder die! The sentiment is an old set I've had for ages and rarely use, I used the reverse side of the paper! It was a fairly quick and simple card! Thank you for visiting! Xxx

6x6 white scalloped edge card, matted with white card stock I'd embossed using the new 6x6 EF by crafters companion, lightly inked the edges with pink lemonade Adirondack! Playing with DI

Good morning Lovelies! It's a wet one so far!
Heres a stamp set I picked up from Ally Pally! I haven't  made a card out of it yet as I'm not sure I like it? Anyway, I splodged some DI on my mat and lightly spritzed with water and smooshed the paper around to pick up all the colours, I partly dried it with heat tool but while still a bit damp I added some irredecent mica powder to it, then heat dried it, the stamp set are TH which I heat embossed using Cosmic shimmer EP in black which has a teal hue to it, I can't remember the name of at the moment but its very pretty, I decoupaged the bird on the branch, and the frame to the right is stamped twice, it doesn't show up so well in the photo but the EP and background really shimmer and glisten its really pretty! I mounted it onto black card, the backing I created by again smooshing DI with water onto paper and heat drying, I then took some bubble wrap and stamped randomly in various DI and finally Fran-taged using shabby white in top left corner, again photo doesn't really show it well, but it adds lovely texture as its very course and granular! I don't know if I will actually use this as a card? It was just play time! I like how it turned out though! Thank you for visiting! I don't mind if you don't like it! I just enjoy reading your comments xxx

Black and gold!

Good evening Lovelies! A late blog from me today! Hope your all well and keeping warm and dry?
I made this card the other night for the daily challenge over on the craftymess group!
8x8 cream scalloped edge card matted with black which I'd pierced around the edges, I then ran the next layer through a Christmas M-bossability folder, but it's swirly and not overly Christmassy, I got lots of new spellbinder dies and had to play! I cut them all with black card which I stuck double sided clear adhesive sheets on before running through GC then used gilding flakes, added a lovely crinkle edge ribbon and a couple of hat pins. I didn't win the challenge, but had fun making the card! Thank you for visiting, I love to read your comments good and not so good lol! Xxx

My first one, I used the new TH metallic D stain, I used pewter, and stamped the corners using Kanban stamps, then withdouble sided tape I stuck on each gem, that was the most time consuming bit, but I'm rather pleased with it.
My second I used stamp board, coloured using DI stamped little nuts and bolts background stamp fom CE stamp set then triple embossed Clear EP and stamped into while still molten with the clock from same set, in gold brilliance ink pad, the hands are TH.
My third, I used Pan Pastels smeared various colours across some linen textured card, sealed with cheapo hairspray and then stamped with Lavinia stamps, I added a few little highlights with a white gel pen, voila very easy and quick.
My final one, I stamped the fuchsia from Lavinia stamps with versamark heat embossed with clear EP then inked over using raspberry adirondack, the tiny butterfly is from a spellbinder set which is cut from some text paper from stash, another very quick and simple one!

My first DT samples for The cupboard trilogy!

Good morning Lovlies!
So here's my first DT samples for The cupboard trilogy challenge blog! I'm very excited! Our theme for this month is, Things with wings, a fabulous theme don't you think?
My card is 8x8 card base! I created the background by inking with DI then running through GC with cogs n clocks A4 mask, i then ran black magic coredinations with clock mask through GC and sanded and tore, next layer is a Do crafts clock collage stamp, I just blobbed DI onto my craft mat spritzed with water then just smooshed through it with paper and heat dried then stamped using black stazon, the topper is Creative Ex stamp set, I randomly blended DI in no particular fashion to create a more distressed look, then stamped the clock face and masked it then I stamped the wings over it, the wings one from a Kanban set I've never used before! Removed the mask then randomly stamped the clock hands to create more interest, I stamped the wings again in black stazon onto acetate cut them out and folded them to create a 3D effect stuck them on, added the sentiment which is from the clock set I'd used a dotty mask to emboss it and just cut it out using guillotine added a screw top brad and some bling!
Watch out throughout the month as I have 2 more cards and a special something else to feature later! So don't forget to pop back from time to time ;) xxx

Thank you very much for visiting! I do hope my card have inspired you to enter our challenge, please pop along and have a look at the wonderful creations the rest of the DT have posted.
