A couple of birthdays

Good afternoon Lovelies.
I hope you've managed to avoid the awful winter virus going around, it really is very unpleasant, day 5 for me and I'm still feeling poorly, the cough and cold I can cope with, the dizziness, nasty taste in mouth, aches and feeling cold I can't. I'm feeling quite sorry for myself actually and I'm not one to give in usually but this has pulled me down.
Never mind, tomorrow is a brand new day!
I just thought I'd share a couple of cards I've made for birthdays coming up.
The first is a dear friend and the second is my lovely Daughter Ashley, her birthday is in March.
I used Chocolate Baroque stamps and the fab new Distress Oxide inkpads, my second card is Indigoblu stamp and Brushos.

Thank you for visiting, have a great day xx Zoe xx

A very productive day with Eileen

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you're all keeping warm, it's sunny here at the moment which is rather lovely.

Well as my title suggests I had a very productive day down at Allhallows on Saturday at Eileen Godwin's Workshop, such a fab day, very chilled.

Sadly it was quieter than usual because of the flurries of snow during the morning, which put some people off coming and forced some people to leave early! However, I stayed, in spite the fact it's an hours drive for me, but it's mostly motorway and the roads were clear, I wasn't gonna let a little bit of snow stop me, and I didn't, I made 8 toppers.
Thank you as always Eileen for the fab day and the ladies for the laughs, chit chat and banter, not forgetting Barbara's wonderful cakes and baked goods.
It was a mostly "Visible Image" stamps day.

Chocolate Baroque Journal cover

Good morning Lovelies I hope you're all well? My lovely hubby has shared his cold with me so I'm feeling rather boo boo at the moment, but it's a good excuse to sit around in trackies and warm jumpers drinking tea and doing some crafting lol!

Today I'm sharing with you an ongoing project, it's a Grey board Journal I purchased a while back from Chocolate Baroque and I'm making it my Chocolate Baroque Journal, I've already made a few pages which will be revealed at some point, but for now I'm sharing the front cover that I finished last night, I'm so pleased with how it turned out!

I've combined several techniques and mediums to create texture and interest, the stamps are all Chocolate Baroque.
I even used Gothic Fragments stamped into texture Paste.
I've used die cuts and used Rusty Patina and gold Gilding wax to get an aged look, they were also stamped with Chocolate Baroque Sentiments for texture, I heat embossed in gold the heart in places and also using the same heart I mixed texture Paste with two different colour mica powders to create a two toned heart, I left it over night to dry then rubbed gold Gilding wax on it.
My background I used strips of scrap paper adhered with a Matt gel medium, then Gessoed over the top I then did my stamped into texture Paste and once dry used Gelato's and my finger to add colour and blend.
The butterfly again heat embossed in black and Gelato's blended with finger again, all finished off with some gold micro beads, bigger beads and Gilding wax all around the edges.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you like my Chocolate Baroque Journal Cover as much as I loved creating it.
Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Lavinia Stamps Creative Challenge - February "Full Moon"

Good morning Lovelies, well it's mild but wet here down on the South East coast.

Today is the launch of Lavinia Stamps Creative Challenge for February and the theme this month is "Full Moon" it's easy to take part, you don't need a blog, just visit the link above and all will be explained.

There's an amazing £40 to spend online on Lavinia Stamps products for the winner, which is chosen at random by Python random generator, all you have to do is post your project using Lavinia Stamp products.

So here are my projects.
All products available at    Lavinia Stamps

My first card I used Yupo paper with Alcohol inks which I simply blobbed onto the paper along with a few drops of blending solution crumpled up some cling film laid it over the ink and made more wrinkles in the cling film and left it over night to dry, I used a stencil and blending solution on a sponge to remove some ink to create my moon, which I then stamped using the fabulous moon stamp. I used Archival inkpads to stamp my images.

Yupo paper is a synthetic paper!

My tag I used Distress inkpads and my third project I used Adirondack inkpads applied with brushes.
