Canvas and Penny Black

Good morning Lovelies, and what a lovely bright morning it is so far, bit chilly and windy but lovely all the same.

Hope you're not getting bored of my Penny Black creations, I just love them! This time I've created a canvas using spray stains, texture paste and the fab stencil from Penny Black called Floral Spray. I painted with distress reinkers and highlighted areas with gold and white pens, I also used a SplodgeAway mask for some interest in the background.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like my canvas? Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Penny Black card and a Donna Downey stamp tag.

Good morning Lovelies.

I'm sorry I've been off the radar a bit lately but as many of you know I lost my lovely Step-dad, it was expected but we thought he'd get to the end of this month but fortunately for him he deteriorated rapidly. As tough as it's been I feel a great sense of relief, especially for my Mum, she is 5 years older than him and not in the best of health herself and nursing him at home for 2 weeks was far too much for her, he went into the Hospice on the Sunday and past away peacefully in his sleep and without pain in the early hours of Tuesday, so very fast.

RIP Dad.

I can't leave these beautiful Penny Black stamps and Dies alone, I just love them, I used watercolour card, stamped using distress markers, and coloured them in using Distress reinkers watered down.

My tag I used the gorgeous Poppy Stamp by Donna Downey which I got from Oyster stamps, I stamped using pigment ink then heat embossed with white EP onto Kraft card, I coloured them in using pencils, the background is Brusho's, I used a memory box die for the corner and the word is by Penny Black.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Penny Black

Good Morning Lovelies, I hope your enjoying Easter, not eating too many chocolate eggs I hope? Lol
Today I'm sharing a card I made yesterday, I saw this technique on C&C yesterday using drawing gum and had to give it a go, I'm really pleased how it turned out and I think it goes well with the wonderful Penny Black stamp.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today, I hope you like my card? Have a great day Xx Zoe xx

Ryn's new stamps

Good evening and a very Happy Easter one and all, I hope your all having a wonderful time. Turned out beautiful today :) always happy to see sunshine.

My new stamps by Designs by Ryn came earlier in the week and I've managed a couple of little plays, I love these Hibiscus flowers, I have the mask too.

I made a mini Canvas using Distress inks and a sand texture paste through the stencil.

I used Brusho's and big bubble wrap and lightly inked through the stencil to create the background, I used drawing gum to create a layered effect with the stamps.

Just a simple one for a birthday

Air drying clay seems to be rather popular at the moment and I didn't want to feel left out, so I decided to give it a go, I used Ryns Hibiscus and Gerbera stamps, I painted once dry with Silks Acrylics and finished off with gilding wax, not sure what I'll do with them though? Lol

Thank you for visiting today, have a great evening xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #4 - "Lemon and Lime"

Good morning Lovelies, and a very warm welcome to new followers of my blog.

Today is the launch of Lavinia Stamps 4th Challenge for this year, and the theme this month is "Lemon and Lime", boy the time is flying, roll on summer I say!

There is a very generous prize of £40 to spend in Lavinia Stamps online store To the winner, chosen by random, please be mindful of the rules - only Lavinia Stamps and products on your entries please!

So onto my samples:

So trying to think of something a little different, I made a set of Twinchies out of mount board, Twinchies if you aren't familiar with are 2"x2" pieces of artwork, such fun and you can of course use them as toppers if you want on a card. I used a variety of mediums here, Goosebumps, Brushos, Adirondack inks and Dylusions, I edged them all with gold gilding wax and used a gold glittery pen to highlight areas.

My second piece I used the wonderful " Pegasus" Die which I sprayed with an antique gold metallic spray, which actually looks rather fab in the flesh, the shimmer from it doesn't really photograph well, the background was just Dylusions spray inks, very simple, but effective I think?

Thank you for visiting today, I hope I've inspired you to join in the challenge? Have a great day xx Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, well it's beautiful sunshine but cold and windy here, but not as wild as yesterday's gales thank goodness.

Today I'm sharing with you 2 cards I've made using the fab NEW "Steampunk" style stencils disgned by the very talented Emma Cronin for Sweet Poppy Stencils, you can get them here

I have to admit, I do struggle with Steampunk, I do like it, I just never quite know what's right for me, so here's my more modern take on it, I hope you like them?

I used Abandoned Coral spray stain to create the sun and then lightly over sprayed with a gold metallic spray (Color bloom by Prima) on my cand and mouse card.

I used Black Diamond Sparkle Medium on Acetate with the butterfly and cut him out, the background is a square stamp and distress inks.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great day xx Zoe xx
