Anything but a card for SplodgeAway!

Good morning Lovelies!

Today I am showcasing a project I made using a fabulous mask by SplodgeAway, it's on their blog,

http://splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/

I used light modelling paste through the mask, i also used the fancy lattice mask too with acrylic paints, then added lots of bit and pieces from my stash to create texture, then just coated with Modgepodge and painted with acrylic paints, the sentiment was stamped onto tissue and adhered with beeswax, I added beeswax here and there over the canvas to create dimension and texture, I added Silver Gilding wax to the modelling paste, the Canvas is 8x10 inch, the largest I've done so far! I enjoyed creating it, I'm not keen on parts of it though, but it was the first time I'd used this technique!
I love being on the DT of SplodgeAway, such fabulous products, thank you Tom and Susan xx

Special occasion card!

Good morning Lovelies! Where is the sun? Lol!

Today's card I made last week for a lovely friend of mine! And her surname funnily enough is "Lovely" hahaha isn't that a great name? Anyway her daughter gave birth 5 weeks ago to triplet Boys, who are doing fabulously btw! They were all over 4lbs and are now all over 5lbs which is amazing for such a high risk pregnancy! She is 39 years old so amazing!

Anyway here is the card I made for my friend, I'm also entering it into http://craftcreatoins.blogspot.co.uk/ the theme is special occasions!

A very simple and clean card!

I used the lovely new Embossing folder by Anna Griffin from Cuttlebug which also has a border EF which I've used on the blue strip, it's very pretty I think? The flowers are from Petal Lu, you can find her on Facebook! Sorry I can't add a link for some reason? Her blooms are fantastic!
Thank you for visiting, have a great weekend xxx

Gelli Plate fun with Gloss Medium!

Good Evening Lovelies and a very warm welcome to new followers!

It's been so humid here! No sun though, I've had an awful headache all day! But to take my mind off it tonight I've had a play with my Gelli Plate! I love it and get it out often, I've got tons of prints I don't know what to do with lol! But they will come in handy at some point, that's the beauty of it!

So this is a technique I saw on Pinterest yesterday and just couldn't wait to try it out! It's fabulous for all those backing papers we all bought because we needed them but never used, and I probably won't now as I do enjoy creating my backgrounds myself, so its a bit of upcycling!

I used an assortment of masks and papers and just went to work, you apply your Gloss medium to the Gelli plate with Brayer as usual, place your mask or whatever your going to imprint, then press your paper and lift, let it dry then using Distress stains splodge over the colour then wipe with a slightly damp cloth or paper towel, fabulous results!

This first one is a K&co paper a paisley pattern and a stripy one

These were just what I cut off the 12x12 sheets

Sheet music and text paper, I think these two last ones are my favourites? What do you think?

Thank you for visiting, I love reading your comments and really appreciate the time you take to visit xxx

Flower crazy!

Good Evening Lovelies, I hope you've all had a fab weekend? Don't know about you? But the weather has been very strange, hot sunshine one minute, windy and sunny then windy and cloudy then raining! Wish it would make up its mind!

Here's a card I made for a crafty challenge tonight, it didn't win but I enjoyed making it! I didn't notice the bloody great shadow down the right side! Grrrr! Anyway my E-Bosser was getting a good outing tonight all these spellbinder flowers and the embossed background by Anna Griffin with Cuttlebug, it's actually on cream card which doesn't really show well and I pierced all around the edge of the first layer! I really must take a better photo tomorrow in better light! I use Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks to colour the flowers! Right I'm off to bed, nighty night crafty friends xxx

Thank you for visiting xxx

Here is another picture in better light!

Craft Stamper challenge!

Good Evening Lovelies! Tonight I have made a tag, amongst other things lol, to enter into the http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/take-it-make-it-challenge-three.html

It's inspired by the feature in craft Stamper July edition pages 30-31 by the very talented Birgit Koopsen http://birgitkoopsen.typepad.com/my_weblog/

It's a technique where all the colour on your project is created with Embossing powders! Wow! What a great technique, who can resist it? It's a magical technique, after all the years I've been crafting there's still nothing like it! So here it is!

I used Dylusions masks and the stamps are both http://designsbyryn.com/ personally I prefered it without the stamps on, but the challenge required stamping!
Thank you for visiting xx

My Favourite SplodgeAway Mask!

Good morning Lovelies! I hope youve all had a wonderful weekend?

This week on Splodgeaway it's "My Favourite Mask" week

Today on Splodgeaway blog it is my turn to showcase some projects I made using "My favourite mask"

Oh my word! How could I possibly pick a fave mask??? They are all fab, the only way I could break it down was to choose which I use the most, not easy either but got down to two, then innie meanie miny mo!

So I chose the "Fancy Lattice", I love it and use it quite a lot! Its very versatile!

Here are 3 samples

The first one looks quite funky I think? I used the mask one way then turned and used it the other way!

The second one I would describe as a Classic design, very generic!

And my third I think is Elegant and quite classy, I just embossed it! It embossed beautifully!

Thank you for taking the time to visit! Why not pop along to the Splodgeaway website and checkout the fabulous products they have on offer? I hope you pop back to the blog each day this week to see what the rest of the extremely talented DT have made? Have a great day, Zoe xxx

Indigoblu Stamps with distress inks

Good evening Lovelies! So we get warmer weather today, but no sun, can't win! Now it's raining too! Lol good old British weather always gives us plenty to talk about!

Tonight I have made a card for the Indigoblu challenge the theme is "Backgrounds Galore"

I used clear EP with the gorgeous Vintage Flourish, then inked over using worn lipstick and dusty concord DI, I then splashed water onto it and blotted, mounted onto black card, I repeated the process for the topper without the Flourish of course then using a variety of Indigoblu stamps created a scene, bit of glitter here and there and a bow, voila! Hope you like it? Thank you for visiting!

Creative Expressions mask and texture paste!

Good evening Lovelies! Hope everyone is well? Just a quick post tonight, feeling tired xx

I made a card for a challenge yesterday it was a tic tac toe board, I chose! Burgundy, Embossing and Cream!

A very simple card using gold texture paste by Creative Expressions through a mask, whilst wet I removed the mask and added clear micro beads, and left it to dry, I embossed some cream card stock with an Anna Griffin EF by Cuttlebug, I pierced the edges of the Burgundy card.

Here's a close up of the Embossing and micro beads!
Thank you for visiting xx

Purple Wallhanging

Good evening Lovelies! I hope you all had a fab weekend? Our weather down here has been awful over the last week, I do hope it gets warmer soon those winds are brrrrrr!

Tonight I have been playing with Acrylic paint dabbers and distress paints! I've made this Wallhanging to go into the fabulous Hels Sheridan's challenge the theme this time is Purple Haze, I love purple so couldn't resist trying this one!

And http://panpasteluk.blogspot.co.uk/

I used a combination of Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamps love her stamps!

All the colouring was using Dabbers and Distress Paints, the base, I covered heavy card with Eggplant, then lightly and rather randomly went over with a paler mauve, I can't remember the colour? I went only in one direction to get a distressed wood effect, I used a background stamp from the stamp set in purple ink, the rest was all coloured first by pouncing the dabbers onto the card to get some texture then heat dried and stamped, I finished off by using the pearl cosmic shimmer gilding wax around the edge and over the butterfly! I hope you like it? I'm very pleased with it!

Thank you for all your lovely comments, it makes my day xxx

Some challenge makes!

Good evening Lovelies! Hope your all well? I keep reading on blogs etc about the lovely weather! Certainly not so lovely down here :( very windy and a cold one at that!

I am in Facebook groups that run daily and bi-weekly challenges! I love to be able to make something every day! So here are some of my challenge makes from this week, hope you don't bore easily? Lol

These first 2 are my beloved Jofy stamps, the little frame was UTEE in a mould
Altered bottle! Was actually a vinegar jar lol! The stamps are Inkylicious!

My Wall hanging I have to confess was inspired by my crafting hero Hel's Sheridan, I used texture paste mixed with dabber paint, the flower is a combination of Studio 490 stamps which I coloured with dabber paints onto grunge paper and layered up!

And finally, this technique is another Hel's, distress stains a colour and a metallic spritzed with water and swished through and heat dried, more Studio 490 stamps used and the fab little set from Visible Image which was free with Craft Stamper mag, as is the technique of this tag!

Thank you very much for spending the time to visit, I hope I've not bored you with too many projects xxx

Father's Day card!

Good afternoon Lovelies! I'd like to start by saying a huge "THANK YOU" to you all for the kind and lovely comments you leave me, it really does make my day! And makes my head bigger lol x

Before I show my card I wanted to let you know that this week on the SpodgeAway blog they are doing a "back where it all began" week, focussing on the amazing SplodgeAway mat, I have done a mini picture tutorial on very basic blending, some people struggle with blending, I must say it took a while for me to master it but with the help of the SplodgeAway mat it has made blending seemlessly, much easier!

Now onto my card!

I've made this for my wonderful step Dad, he's not particularly into boats, but I was itching to use my new stamp lol! The stamps are by Inkylicious and the Embossing folder is a numbers one side and letters the other by Spellbinders, I first stamped the background with Almanac stamp which is like a ledger, in sepia versafine ink then blended DI Shabby shutters and tumbled glass over it then ran through E-Bosser to emboss I edged lightly with forest moss then rubbed over the raised pattern with gold gilding wax by cosmic shimmer, the topper I used the same inks to blend then stamped the gorgeous image with a dark green versafine ink, matted onto dark green card from Papermill direct onto a Kraft card base bit of twine and voila! Hope you like it? Thank you for visiting, have a great day xx

Zoe Challenge #8 "Ribbons and Lace" for Rhedd and Rosie's challenge

Good Morning Lovelies! It's a new challenge starting today at Rhedd and Rosie's challenge, the theme this fortnight is "Ribbons and Lace" we have a fab sponsor which supplied us DT with some great wooden peices to use as our samples!

They are also giving a wonderful prize of a selection of wooden shapes, which can be altered or decorated!

http://dottyheaven.com/ and http://Facebook.com/craftshapestorbay?fref=ts

I used Distress paints to colour my tag which goes on beautifully because of the dabber style applicator you can go in as heavy or lightly as you like! The other two pieces i used Acrylic paint, The lace is a Kanban stamp, the butterfly on my heart is a die cut which is dipped in UTEE in my melt pot, although a bit daunting at first, as I'm not much of an altered art person, I did really enjoy this once I got started, and I wanted them to all match so they can be joined together if I wanted to!

So here's the link http://rheddandrosies.blogspot.co.uk/ check out the wonderful DT projects and be inspired to join in, remember we are an anything goes challenge so if you want to makes cards, tags, altered pieces please feel free as long as you stick to the theme and remember to link back to us! We look forward to seeing what wonderful creations you come up with! Many thanks for visiting have a great day xx

Sweet Poppy stencil meets Clarity stamps!

Good evening Lovelies and a very warm welcome to new followers!

I'm pretty obsessed at the moment with flowers in my crafting and butterflies of course! So tonight I noticed the Pan Pastel challenge was to make a tag, and I make loads of tags and love them so here's mine!

I blended Bright yellow green and Magenta pans onto White Linen texture card by Papermill direct, the stamps are Clarity and Studio 490, I used white texture paste through the gorgeous Sweet Poppy stencil, I just love the effect of this technique, one I picked up from the lovely and very talented Eileen Godwin
