Zoe - Week 52 "Happy New Year"

Good morning Lovelies! I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas? The weather has been pretty ghastly I hear? I'm in Canada until 1st January, having spent a wonderful White a Christmas with my daughter, it's been the best Christmas ever and I don't want to go home!

So here is my DT sample for Premium Craft Brands

I used a black tag, I inked the whole tag in versamark and used the golds, metallic Pan Pastels, I then embossed it with a star stencil after I'd sprayed with cheap hairspray, I added bronze PP over the embossed stars, my star embellishments I made using Maemeri light modelling medium in silicone moulds, which were left over night to dry then coloured with orange Pan Pastel, I wrote the sentiment!

Happy New Year, hugs, Zoe xx

Zoe - Week 51 "Make a gift using fabric"

Good Morning Lovelies! And a very Merry Christmas one and all! Today is my birthday, rather a large number 52 eek! I'd rather forget lol, we are in Canada for Christmas with our beautiful daughter, we just returned there on Friday having spent 5 days in New York, wow what a place, really not for me, Too big, too crowded, too busy, very unfriendly and I found it a bit scary, I guess it's not for everyone? Lol however we visited some interesting places. We did so much walking I've returned with a bad knee. Now I'm back with my daughter I'm trying to rest it and it is starting to feel better. Most of the snow we had before we went to NY has melted but they said we are due more yesterday (scheduled post by the way) I hope we have a white Christmas. We are spending Christmas Day at Keenan's parents (daughters boyfriend) which will be great, lots of fun, food and laughter, they are great people.

Anyway less of my rambling on, here is my DT sample for Premuim Craft Brands! I have made a wall hanging out of mini canvases, I have attempted to make multi media canvases with White Maemeri Gesso, coloured in places with Magenta Tint Pan Pastels, the photographs are of each of our little fostered girls that have all gone on to adoption! I hope you like it?

This top one is Angel, we had her from 4 days old until she was 17 months old, she was 4 in September.

The second one is Millie, we had her from 12 months old until one month before her 3rd birthday which was last February.

And finally our last little darling Ruby, we got her at 4 and a half months old, she moved the day after her 1st birthday, on the 9th November, so we have done 2 adoptions this year, a roller coaster of emotion I can tell ya! :,( it's true what they say though! "Time is a healer" although I never get over them going, but the pain does ease in time!

All my special baby girls, I love them so much and miss them, there's never a day goes by that I don't think about them!

Hopefully we will return in the New Year refreshed and ready for a new baby? :)

I hope you like my Wallhanging? Merry Christmas and hugs, Zoe xxx

12 Tags of 2013 1st December tag

Good morning Lovelies, I'm on a roll lol.

Heres my version of Tim Holtz 1st December Tag, absolutely adore Tim Holtz style, I've made a few of the tags from 12 tags of 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it,

I haven't got any of Wendy Vecchi's clearly art heatable plastic so I used Vellum, it's not the same, but it looks pretty good.

I'm entering this into Craftyhands Challenge Blog the theme is "Seasons Greetings"

I hope you like my tag, thank you for spending the time to visit and comment xxx happy Wednesday xxx

Tim Holtz Stamps

Good evening Lovelies! I had some free time today and thought I'd make a card for a challenge in a FB group I'm in, the theme is "words" I thought I'd make a male card, although I guess it could be female too as it has butterflies on it.

I used Tim Holtz stamps Distress inks the splat is a TH layering stencil which I used Picket Fence distress paint through, the stripes and dots are also his stencils which I inked through, it's layered onto some card which I scored and gilded, this technique I picked up from Eileen Godwins workshop at the weekend. Thank you for visiting xxx

Zoe - Week 49 "All about Card/paper"

Good morning Lovelies! I hope everyone has managed to come out of the shocking weather unscathed? Phew! It was pretty rough, my heart goes out to those poor people that have had damage to their homes or injuries.

I can't believe I only have 5 days left until we fly out to Canada to have Christmas with our beloved daughter! I'm so excited. We are having 5 days in NY too :D to stay out the way as my daughter has to study for exams, I've never been to the big apple so it's a dream come true for me, and seeing it at Christams time is just so "wow"

So onto this weeks challenge for Premium Craft Brands the theme this week is "All about card/paper" so basically you can make what you like with any theme the only requirement is that it is ALL made of card or paper, so that includes all embellishments too! Here's what I made.

Your probably wondering "why 3"? Well I made 1 each for my three baby girls that have all been adopted, I keep in touch with them and always send cards and gifts for Xmas and birthdays. I made them all slightly different in design, very easy cards, I used the beautiful Linen texture card from Papermill Direct it's beautiful with Pan Pastels, I think it's classy and gives a beautiful texture when coloured, I coloured the backgrounds Ultra Marine Blue, Violet and Violet shade pan pastels and sprayed with cheap hairspray to seal, I cut an aperture and raised on sticky pads for dimension and added My embellishments and some liquid pearls with glitter here and there, I'm sorry the third pictures lighting is terrible.

I hope you like my samples and feel inspired to join in? Remember we offer a prize too for the winner which is picked by the Radom thingymadjig! Plus we pick a top 3, have a great weekend, keep warm, keep safe and keep crafting lol! Xx hugs, Zoe xx

Good afternoon Lovelies, well it's a bit of a wild and windy day today, cold, but dry and quite bright actually I like this sort of weather, it's quite refreshing!

Anyway I've been busy finishing off getting my Xmas gifts wrapped ready to take out to Canada next week! Eek! Next week can't believe it :) so excited to be seeing my beautiful Daughter for Christmas. I had a last minute card to make for our lovely neighbours, don't know how I managed to forget them? :/ and then my Mum asked for a card for her friend, then I made my tags for the gifts, so it's been a productive crafty day so far!

Here's what I made for my Mum to give her friend, I used Visible Image Santa stamp and Stampendous Postcard stamp, coloured with Coloursoft pencils and DI, bit of glitter and red liquid pearls. Hope she likes it?

I've entered this into the Visible Image Challenge

Here's my card for our neighbours, Jofy stamps, simply love em!

Just a couple of the tags, didn't want to bore you lol! Used a houndstooth background stamp with red Archival on Kraftcard, the second one I didn't add enough pressure but I liked how it turned out and thought it would be a good one for a man, a bit more distressed looking, I heat embossed with Gold Stampendous fine detail EP I love that EP it's fab, the bottom one is a stamp by Penny Black and the top one is by Indigoblu! Thank you for visiting, keep safe and warm xxx

It's a 6x6 kraftcard base, my background I created on some Tim Hotlz Craft resist card stock which I've had for years, I used the reverse side. I stamped this fab background stamp that's part of a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 set with picket fence Distress paint, I then inked over with Distress inks in various colours and a stencil used to just create some more texture, I then used Gold Texture Paste through this gorgeous Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stencil, added some very old gold gems again I've had lying around fro years. The sentiment is a Tim Holtz Chit Chat Sticker, I love these little things.

I hope you feel inspired to join in? Thank you for visiting, have a great day xxx

Zoe - Challenge # 10 "Anything Goes"

Good morning Lovelies!

Wow! 1st of December already, where has the year gone!

Whoop whoop! Not long now until I see my baby girl :D, I'm spending Christmas with my beloved daughter Ashley and her boyfriend, they live in Canada, I can't wait, it's been 2 years since I saw her last, it's going to be wonderful, very cold and hopefully a bit of snow? Would love a white Christmas, we are spending the first 5 days in New York as Ashley has end of term exams and will be studying and really doesn't need the distraction. I'm so proud of her, she will be 30 in March and made the brave decision to go back to Uni for 4 years to do a nursing degree.

Right! enough of my waffle, it's the start of a new challenge today over at Lavinia Stamps, our theme this month is "Anything Goes" you can do whatever you like as long as you use The wonderful Lavinia Stamps in your project, plus, you could win a whopping £40 in vouchers to spend on Lavinia products! Wow! That's an amazing prize!

So here are my DT samples!

My first sample I used my brayer, and then a sponge to create the ground for my little houses, I love these Zentangle stamps, I added some liquid pearls and glitter for some extra pizzaz!

My second card is a very simple one, I used Pan pastels, then lightly drew a circle and stamped around it using the "Mistletoe" added some liquid pearls and bobs ya uncle!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I love reading your comments, don't forget to join in xxx

Zoe - December Challenge - "Christmas"

I'd like to thank Debbi Powell and the rest of the team for having me, such an honour!

So the theme this month is........... Yep you guessed it "Christmas" lol here's my sample!

I used the fabulous "Big and Bold" background stamp by Chocolate Baroque, I heat embossed using gold fine detail EP by Stampendous, then I coloured it in using a Q-tip and distress inks, very simple but rather effective I think? I hope I've inspired you to join in? Here's the link have a great day xxx

Zoe - week 47 "Mixing with Fluid"

Good morning Lovelies! This week at Premium Craft Brands we are mixing our Pan Pastels with fluid, that can be any fluid! I have mixed mine with Maimeri Glassy Gel, I used the edge of Caught Butterfly mask, I used Bright yellow green Pan Pastels for the background colour then mixed the Bright yellow green Extra Dark with the Glassy Gel through the mask, once dry it really is glassy, great effect, I don't think the photo really does it justice?

Thank you for visiting, have a great weekend xxx

Sheena Douglass stamps and re-inkers!

Good evening Lovelies! It's been a blooming miserable day today, a great excuse to craft, and I've crafted a lot today, most I cannot share, but this one I can, I was really just playing but quite like the result.

I just put a tiny drop of various colour Distress re inkers on my craft mat and spritzed with water, picked it up with paint brush and just flicked it over the reverse side of Centura Pearl card, I dried between colours so they didn't mingle into mud, the re inkers are very intense colour, I then painted my stamped image and flowers with the rest of the ink, I used Wendy Vecchi honeycomb mask on the corners for a bit more texture.

I hope you like it? Thank you for visiting, have a wonderful weekend xx

I love Christmas, this Christmas is going to be very different for us this year! Firstly our darling little Ruby (fostered baby) moved on to her new forever family on the 9/11/13 a day after her first birthday, I can't tell you how utterly devastated we both are, well it's the same each time one of them has moved lol! But it's wonderful for her and her new family. Bittersweet! So we aren't going to have a baby or little one for Christmas this year :,( our first one in nearly 5 years of Fostering.

But the most wonderful thing is, we are going to spend Christmas in Canada with our wonderful daughter and her boyfriend, how exciting is that? We've not seen her for 2 years as she's been studying hard at Uni. It's going to be very cold I expect, but I've got some thermals lol

Bye bye sweetheart Love you so much! Xxxxxxx taken just before she left 9/11/2013
So on to my samples! As soon as I got them I knew I wanted to give them to Ruby, so I've kept them simple, just painted with Distress paints having Gesso'd them first of course, the angel I used gilding flakes, but the other 2 I heat embossed with silver EP, I have to say! The embossed ones came out better, I have done both sides, added some Tim Holtz tinsel and voila!

Christmas with Jofy!

Good morning Lovelies! What beautiful weather over the weekend for us! Cold but sunny and dry, just how I like it! Well we had a new front door fitted yesterday (Sunday) and the idiot cut our phone line off! So we have no landline or internet, I've managed to tap into a very shaky wifi hotspot but not sure how long for? Hopefully we will be back online today?

So while I had no internet yesterday I had a play with my Christmas Jofy stamps, oh how I love Jofy!

I stamped some of my images onto music sheet and text paper and cut bits out and paper pieced just to create some interest, with the use of some distress inks, sequin waste and masks to create some interesting backgrounds I think I've made some quite funky looking cards? I hope you like them?
