Good afternoon Lovelies, I do hope my crafty friends are all managing to stay warm and safe? We have been very lucky here on the South East coast so far, it's cold and a bit windy but it's sunny and dry :)

Handprint Reindeer

Good morning Lovelies, I say "Good" but it's persisting it down out there :( oh I hate rain, so to cheer myself up I made a cute card for my little Foster baby boys Mummy.

I can't believe he's 7 weeks old already, we brought him home from hospital at 1 day old, such a gorgeous little chunk, 9lb 7 at birth last weigh in he was 12lb 7 lol bless him.

So here's my card, I used Distress paints just dabbed onto craft mat and smooshed hand in it.

I hope you like it, I thought it was pretty cute, have a great day and keep warm xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #12 - December "Add some flowers"

Good morning Lovelies, Wow it's December, can you believe it? I hope your all on your way to being prepared for the festivities? I'm just about done, although I'm not as prepared as I usually am, mind you, I've a baby to care for which makes it harder.

So here we are it launch time for Lavinia Stamps Challenge and a lovely easy one this month "Add Some Flowers" please be mindful of the rules and use only Lavinia Stamps and or Products. As usual there is an amazingly generous prize of £40 to spend online in Lavinia Stamps shop.

So here are my samples, I've flown with this theme somewhat lol, love flowers.

My first I've used the wonderful brand new Celtic Dreams dies, I coloured some white card stock with Silks Acrylics and punched out some flowers, I used the same set to create my background, masking off a sun, then cutting the Pegasus with black card, I created an aperture and mounted on foam pads and stuck the design flat, just to create dimension, these dies are superb, they are large and very different to anything else out there, I might add, they cut like a hot knife through butter too, no poking out bits with a pokey tool, just all falls out beautifully.

Brusho's background on my second card.

My last card I embossed the Zen flowers with white EP and created a resist for the distress inks.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I do hope you like my samples and feel inspired to join in, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Lavinia Stamps new dies

Good afternoon Lovelies, long time no post hahaha!

I've been busy looking after my gorgeous 5 week old foster baby boy, love him to bits but get very little time for crafting, but I did manage to have a play with the wonderful new dies that Tracey Dutton from Lavinia Stamps designed, they are big and cut like a hot knife through butter, I've had no problems getting the bit's out either, they just fall out, fabulous designs, very different from anything else out there, pop along and check them out here

So here's a few I've made so far;

My first one I used the gorgeous Pegasus on White Linen texture card, I used the waste as an aperture, my background is a simple swipe of Silk Acrylics.

My second one I used, Goosebumps and once dry I used Distress inks in Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans.

My final one I wanted a Scandinavian look, I used a hound tooth back ground stamp with Red Archival ink on Kraft card to create the background, I cut the Deer out twice and stamped him with a Knit style stamp from a Sheena Douglass christmas set, also in Red Archival and decoupaged him, I used Picket Fence Distress Marker to colour the snowflakes and I added pearls to the centers, which don't show up so well in the photo.

I hope you like my cards and feel inspired to check out Tracey's new dies, thank you for visiting today, have a great rest of the day xx Zoe xx

Long time no see!

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you are all well?

I have to apologise for my neglect of just about everything lately, but I have a new baby to care for (foster care) he is gorgeous, we brought him home from hospital at a day old, he is 4 weeks today and getting into a routine nicely, fortunately he's pretty good at night, 4-5 hourly feeds, settles straight away so half hour tops :) day times are still a little less regimental as he suffers with colic and a bit of reflux which upsets him of an evening bless him, like most new placements I've had a flurry of meetings and appointments to attend which is hard work with a newborn but they are easing up a bit now the initial work is done. As a result I've not had time or energy to craft or spend much time on Facebook no big deal the latter but I have missed my crafting :( As my craft room is a summerhouse in the garden I've set up my craft stuff on my dining table in conservatory so now while bubs sleeps I'm nearby and can craft :) happy days, love my job!

Sorry for the waffle, I managed to make the poor little sausage a Welcome card, bless him, he had no cards what so ever, how sad is that? So at least he has one to go into his memory box now :) ive managed to make some DT stuff too but can't post those yet ;)

Here's his card, I kept it simple, I recently won 12 tags of 2014 and the prize was a voucher, I bought a stamp set and this fabulous big flower mask which I've used part of to create my background, I used Citrus and Sailboat Adirondack inks on white linen texture card stock, the name is also linen card.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like my card, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Visible Image and Brusho

Good afternoon Lovelies, just a very quick post today.

Today's make is for the Visible Image "Let it sparkle" challenge for September

Ive used Brushos on watercolour card spritzed with gold mica in water and placed bubblewrap over it to dry to create my background, I stamped the Butterfly with Black Versafine and heat embossed using Wow vintage glitter ep, I edged with silver gilding wax and buffed for more sparkle, sadly I'm not the greatest photographer and glitter doesn't really photograph well, I've done it in the garden in the sunshine too :(

Thank you for visiting today, enjoy your afternoon xx Zoe xx

More Brusho's

Good afternoon Lovelies, I hope you had a fab weekend?

I'm a little obsessed with my Brusho's at the moment, I just can't help it, the colours are fab and so much versatility.

I've used Ryns rain drops and ornate leaf I'm also adding this to Ryn's Customer Draw

I've used Clarity card for this one, the gloss one, I added distress stain to crumpled up cling film, spritzed with some gold mica in water solution and sprinkled on Brushos, wrapped the card with the cling film and left for ten mins before unwrapping, I finished drying with heat tool, the stamp stylised flowers by Indigoblu.

Brusho's on watercolour card spritzed with mica powder in water and placed bubble wrap over, another Indigoblu stamp, I painted the flowers and leaves with Brusho's too.

I posted a card the same as this yesterday, using different colours, my friend liked it and asked if I would make one for her to frame, she loves butterflies, so this one is for her.

Thank you for visiting today, xxx have a great day xx Zoe xx

More Brusho makes

Good afternoon Lovelies, I hope your weekend has been good?

I'm sharing with you 2 cards I have made today with my Brusho's.

My first card I used Sketch Daisies by Rubbernecker Stamps, the sentiment is Chocolate Baroque.

My second card, is residue from some Brusho's on bubble wrap which is for another project, I didn't wanna waste it, the stamp is Indigoblu big butterfly, I lightly spritzed with water and mica powder, sprinkled on my Brusho's then spritzed again and stamped, dabbed in places where it puddled so it didn't muddy too much, another Chocolate Barorque sentiment to finish.

Thank you for visiting today xx Zoe xx

Eileen Godwin's workshop

Good morning Lovelies, back again :)

I spent Saturday and Sunday at the lovely Eileen Godwins workshops down in Rochester and what a fab time I had on both days, such lovely company, good laughs, good chit chat, tea and cake, what more can a girl ask for? Oh and of course loads of fab inspiration from the fab Eileen. Saturday was a Brusho workshop which made a lovely change, now Brusho's if you are not familiar are very fine crystals of pure paint, water colour, very versatile. Check out YouTube you will find various tutorials. So here are my Saturday Brusho makes.

My first is Penny Black - Delicate Florals stamp

My second and third are Sweet Poppy Stencils

Fourth is Visible Image stamps

And finally another Penny Black stamp.

Sunday was an Altered Art workshop and we altered a very cheap IKEA mirror, just plain white, I should of taken a before and after photo but I didn't have my camera with me, but after lots of embossing, die cutting, sticking, black Gessoing, Painting and gilding, here's the end result, very pleased with it indeed.

Thank you so much Eileen for your wonderful inspiration, wit and general loveliness.

Thank you all for visiting today, I hope you hab a lovely day xx Zoe xx
