Seeing Stars

Good morning Lovelies! Well waiting at Kuala Lumpur airport to fly to our next destination which is Penang, we've had 3 days in KL which has been super but very busy, very hot and humid, a beautiful and vibrant place, now we have 12 days lazing in the sun :) boy do I need it!

So onto my make which I made the night before we came away, I was just playing and then found I can enter it into the Panpastelukchallengeblog

I used a Manilla tag and using a SplodgeAway mask and texture paste created the stars, I left it over night to dry, then spritzed with Lime green Dylusions spray ink with the mask in place and then removed the mask and sprayed with Blue Dylusions ink, added some dots with a yellow pen, I added Distress clear rock candy to the bigger stars, stuck a moon face charm on and voila a very simple tag, hope you like it? Thank you for visiting xxx

Dream

Good evening Lovelies! I hope everyone is managing to keep warm and dry?

Here is my second post for today! A very simple card, 6x6 the stamps are from Visible Image, the flower is a spellbinder die I cut all three and layered them up, I coloured the butterfly and flower with DI, the embossing folder is a 6x6 by CC, I pierced around the edges of the first layer using my Tim Holtz ruler, I love this technique, it just finishes off the edges nicely I think, thank you for visiting today xx

I'm entering this card into craftcreatoins and glitternsparkle

StenSkape!

Good morning Lovelies! An early post from me as I've been awake for quite some time I'd put it to good use!

Last night I thought I'd have a play, so I got out my StenSkapes, I've only got 2 and to be honest when I bought them I really wasn't sure I was going to use them, so here is my very first attempt, it's ok, but I need a lot more practice! It's not quite as easy as Tom makes it look.

So what do you think? I enjoyed using it, but not sure I will be using them often, I love my stamping much more! Thank you for spending the time to visit xx

Tags for a swap

Well it's been a while since I've blogged! Been having a tough time! My little foster girl moved last Thursday to her new forever family! We've had her 22 months so it's been really hard letting go! Don't get me wrong it's wonderful for her and she has now got a wonderful new Mummy and Daddy, but we love her so much and have been through a lot with her, so we are grieving our loss! I've not been able to craft for over a week, I've just not felt up to it! In fact I didn't get dressed for 3 days, but each day I have cried a little less! It takes time, I learned that from the last one, you never get over it but in time you move on and remember the good memories! I can't wait for that to happen this time, I can tell you it's felt like the end of the world, the pain is so real! :( "But" I have actually been out in my craft room and made some tags for a swap with a group I belong to, thank you for visiting my blog and reading my story, hope it hasn't depressed you too much?

60th Birthday Card!

Good evening Lovelies! I was asked tonight if I would make a card for a friends Mum who is going to be 60! She is a very glamorous lady and would never had thought of her as 60! She told me she liked flowers, but as she is a rather trendy and glamorous lady I thought I could get away with something a little more Funky as long as it was pretty too!

I used 8x8 white card base matted with black which I pierced all around the edge, I used white Linen texture card and blended Magenta tint through to shade Pan Pastels, the stamps are Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 the 60 is made from a template, the Happy Birthday stamp is from the patchwork numbers by Jane Nesterenko ! I hope I've spelt that right? I'm pleased with how it's turned out! Thank you for visiting! A Canvas for Millie!

Good evening Lovelies! Well today was officially our last day with Millie as a family! Tomorrow she meets her new Mummy and Daddy for the first time, so things change tomorrow! We had a lovely day at home, baking cookies for her new Mummy and Daddy, the neighbours kids came over to play and say goodbye! All very very sad, my hubby and I have been sitting bawling our eyes out most of the evening, this is the hardest part of being Foster carer's.

I've had a go at doing a Canvas, it's my very first time and I have to say I'm pretty chuffed with it! I have of course made it for Millie's new bedroom, which they have decorated in lilac!

It's only about 5"x3" I bought a pack of 4 for £2.99 a few months ago, not really knowing why I bought them? But thought they were a bargain, I'm soooo glad I did now! Could be another obsession lol? Anyway I started by using texture paste through a Dylusions stencil, I coloured it and all the flowers and butterflies with Pan Pastels! I hope you like it? Thank you for taking the time to visit, I'm entering it into http://panpasteluk.blogspot.co.uk/?m=0

Zoe Challenge #1~ "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Lovelies! And a Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their festivities over the last couple of weeks? It's certainly comes and goes very quickly doesn't it? I love Christmas, but it is nice to get back to normal after!

So onto our first challenge of 2013 the Theme is "Anything Goes" so nice and easy to kick off those cobwebs lol! My first, I'm not keen on, but thought it appropriate, the background is created with Distress stains, the stamps were free with a mag, I've had them ages!

My second I used DS Tarnished Brass from the Metallic range, stamped with versamark the glasses and heat embossed in gold, I masked the glasses and heat embossed in silver the bubbles, which are by Designs By Ryn!

My third, I used Washi Tape for the background, the stamps are from the same free set as the first, I coloured them in using highlighter markers!
I created the background, by spraying Dylusions spray ink, heat drying it, then stamped using Coffee Archival ink, I used my water brush to create some highlights in the collage stamp by Crafty individuals, unfortunately it doesn't show up so well in the photo, I then triple embossed with clear EP, same with the butterfly, which is part of the collage stamp, I stamped again and cut it out to decoupage it!
And finally, I used paper from a Vintage Christmas pad, it was free with a mag, sorry don't I remember who it's by? The stamps are Tim Holtz by Stampers Anonymous it's the set with the Umbrella man, I stamped the birds on a wire with black and masked them, then using olive DI stamped the clock face, i inked the edges with black soot DI, a very simple one, but actually this is my favourite!
I do hope you will visit and look at the other DTs fabulous samples? And also welcome our brand new and fabulous member Sylv! Be inspired to join in! http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/?m=0

Zoe Cards Galore, January challenge! "Anything goes"

Good morning Lovelies! And a warm welcome to new followers and Happy New Year! I have the pleasure of posting my first DT post for the Cards Galore Challenge blog http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ our theme this month is Anything goes! We have a fab sponsor this month who are offering a generous £10 voucher to spend on their site! www.craftyhands.co.uk

So onto my card! I know, your thinking! Oh no not more Christmas cards in January? But this card was for a very special little girl! A lot of you know that I'm a foster carer! Well our gorgeous little Millie is moving onto adoption on the 17th of January after being with us for a year and 10 months, she was a year old when she came to us a sad, withdrawn and very tiny, skinny little soul, her journey has been tough, for us as well, but she as emerged a bright and confident, still tiny but with a huge personality, so as we are preparing to say goodbye to this little darling whom we love with all our hearts I wanted to dedicate this post to her, I am crying writing this post, we're going to miss her so much, it's going to be tough for her too, but she is going to have a wonderful new mummy and daddy! I am happy for all of them and I wish them every happiness in the world.
My card is 8x8 matted with white linen card which I ran through GC using a CC 8x8 EF it has corner designs but I only wanted the lines around the edges, my topper i scored 3 lines either side of my stamping space using my Hougie board, I created my design by stamping with versamark the snowflakes from a Kanban set of stamps, then blending pan pastels, sealing with cheap hairspray, then stamping the reindeer from the same set in black, I added glitter here and there, a very simple card, but created with love, also she has loved reindeers at the garden centre Christmas display, and who can resist using pink for a little girl?
Thank you for spending the time to read my story and look at my card, I hope I haven't depressed you? Would love you to pop along and take a look at the wonderful creations the rest of the DT have posted and join in!
