Simple christmas card

Good evening Lovelies, hope you've all had a lovely weekend, boy they sure come and go quickly! I made this card last night for the daily challenge over on craftymess group! The theme was Christmas!
This was very simple, took no longer than 10 minutes! 5x5 card base, matted with white linen texture card, I made 4 score lines creating a square and masked, I stamped the centre with versamark using the Large Snowflake stamp from Visible Image then, swiped over with violet tint, magenta tint and blue tint Pan pastels, sealed with cheapo hairspray, then highlighted with a quickie glue pen and irredecent glitter, the sentiment was from a freebie set that came with a mag and Voila! Thank you for spending some time visiting my blog, it's much appreciated xxx

Never tried this before!

Good evening Lovelies, well been a bit AWOL for couple of days as I've been away to a lovely wedding in Tonbridge Wells! Had a cracking time.
I made this card a couple of nights ago, I made it for our daily challenge over on craftymess group, the theme was: try something new, either technique or something in stash never used! So I thought I'd have a go at T-bag folding, not really my sort of thing but hey ho! Always keen to play, I have a mag that featured T-bag folding in so basically found an easy fold and copied it! I think it's turned out ok? But still not my thing!
So papers are all from stash that's been hanging around for ages not being used! The tulips were created by cutting 3, 5x5 cm squares and 3, 4x4 cm squares, folding and layering on top of each other, the stems are spellbinders and the sentiment are from a stamp set I got free from Ally Pally! Voila! Thank you visiting always love to hear what you think xxx

Pink gingham!

Good afternoon Lovelies!
Well it's a nice day today, bit chilly but the sun is shining, hope it lasts over the weekend? I'm off to Royal Tonbridge Wells tomorrow to a posh wedding, we're staying over night!
My Mum asked me to make a card for a friend, her 50th party was a western theme, but she's quite girlie, so thought "Gingham" and that's  where the western theme ends for me lol!
8x8 white scalloped edge card base, I matted with white card I'd pierced around the edges, then I cut and divided more white paper into 1/3 and 2/3 I stamped in pink a stamp from Dandelion wishes from CEx which is a favourite of mine, the other piece I stamped using the Gingham background from Visible Image and then embossed using hounds tooth EF although you can't really tell in picture! The rest speaks for itself! of course I used spellbinders! All from a new batch I bought tut tut! Thank you for visiting today xxx

Masculine crimbo card

Good morning Lovelies! Another wet and cold day! :(
I hope everyone ok and free from floods etc?
I made this card a couple of nights ago, using Visible image stamps, DI and Frantage embossing enamels, just loving that stuff at the moment! Gives a great effect to grungy and Vintagey things. The backing paper is from a 6x6 pad I got last year, sorry I can't remember who it's by but it's very Vintagey, the backing paper I inked with vintage photo DI and stamped the grunge flourish with mahogany DI, added some splats with DS and blobed on some versamark in two of the corners and heated some Frantage from underneath, I stamped craft card with harlequin background stamp using tarnished brass Distress stain, the next layer I used the mahogany DI and the plaid background stamp and lightly inked with mahogany, the image is the wonderful vintage Santa, again stamped with mahogany DI I blobed on some versamark here and there over his beard and then added shabby white Frantage and heated from underneath to create this lovely textured beard! Thank you for taking the time to visit, I know this card won't be to everyone's taste? But I do love to experiment ;) xxx I'm entering this card into the lovely Linda Simpsons challenge! http://lindasimpsoncraftypieceofheaven.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/christmas-challenge-sponsored-by-my.html

Playing with Frantage!

Good evening lovelies!
So after my fab day yesterday at Ally Pally, I thought I'd have a little play! Like ya do ;)
So here's what I did for today's Daily Challenge with craftymess group, the theme was hearts!
I inked some white card with Tattered rose DI then stamped using harlequin background and grunge polka dots background, both by Visible Image also in tattered rose DI and inked the edges with black soot DI, the heart is by Indogoblu, I stamped in black then once dry went over it with versamark and sprinkled shabby pink and shabby white Frantage embossing enamel's and heated from underneath, the base card is 6x6 scalloped edge white, I lightly inked with tattered rose DI then stamped using the grunge flourish (visible image) in TRDI and lightly inked very edges in black soot!
I've also included a picture of my crafty goodies I bought at ally pally and the very bottom picture is the freebies I got! Thank you for visiting xxx

Yes you guessed?

Good evening Lovelies! Well what an awful wet day! But I don't care! :D why you ask? I've been to Ally Pally today to the Big stamp and scrapbook show! Yippee! Been wanting to go for years, and now I have, was fab, few bargains with a couple of little freebies thrown in! I met some lovely people and lots of celeb crafters from tv! I know I sound a bit sad as they're not really celebs lol, but it meant a lot to me! So although I have some fabulous new crafty bits to play with, I'm just too tired and cold, so I thought I'd treat you to some more of my Altered art dictionary pages lol!
The first stamp is actually Water droplets! From http://designsbyryn.com/ But I've done it as Shower! I used pan pastels to colour the page first then sprayed with some spray n sparkle (silver) then stamped in black.
The second is "fantasy" my favourite so far! Pan pastels with Lavinia stamps and spray n sparkle.
The third is "Poppy"
Thank you so much for spending the time to look xxx

using Foliage Big n juicy ink pad! Very simple, but effective I think? Hope you like it?

Grunge santa!

Hello Lovelies! Bit earlier for me today! Just put little one down for her nap so thought I'd share my make with you!
I made this card a couple of nights ago, it was just an experiment really just wanted to play with some products!
All the stamps I used are from Visible Image, they are great quality stamps and some brilliant designs, http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/
I used rusty hinge distress stain and the new yummy metallic DS I used the tarnished brass in this card, it's a 6x6 card the background is just stained and stamped in a random fashion various background stamps, then I splattered the stain here and there, I ran it through GC using clock mask to add bit of texture! The topper I used again the Rusty hinge DS dripped some water and patted dry, The Christmas eve stamp I used the DS to with then heat set, the rest was stamped with brown Adirondack ink, the corner was created by using a large polka dot mask and Gesso, left to dry over night then dabbed with the brass DS and wiped off to just lightly stain it, then lastly I added Cosmic shimmer mica flakes to the beard and hair! I think this makes a great card for a man? Thank you for visiting xxx Im entering this card into http://craftcreatoins.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/bling-it-up-challenge_17.html

Spooky!

Good evening Lovelies! Something a little different from me tonight, I saw this challenge the other day by a lovely FB friend and thought "I should do this one!" http://somewheretobeme.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/halloween-challenge.html
The theme is something spooky for Halloween! So it is kind of spooky, but me being me I had to give it a bit of a girlie, blingy touch!
8x8 white card base matted with some flocked paper from stash and matted again with some craft card, the topper is white linen texture card stock, I masked the edges to create a frame and used various different Pan Pastels shades, then sprayed with cheapo hairspray, the scene was created with and combination of Lavinia stamps and Dylusions stamps, stamped in black and shades of green DI, I highlighted with white gel pen and added some glitter here and there, removed the tape and inked edges with DI, added a lace bow, so here it is I hope you like it? I enjoyed creating this card! Thank you for visiting xxx

Wedding card mk 2!

Good evening Lovelies, hope your all having a lovely weekend so far? You may or may not remember a little while ago, I made a wedding card that I wasn't sure about? I asked your opinions and had some great suggestions from you all, the main one being! The letters being too chunky, I agreed! And with some help from a lovely lady Trudi Shury who very kindly cut me some more letters with her cricut, I ended up starting over with the card, although its still very similar, I am much happier with mk 2, the first picture is the original, the second is the new and I think improved, also including a picture of the insert, thank you for visiting, xxxx

Simple xmas card!

Good evening Lovelies, well there's certainly an Autumnal chill in the air, although today has been pretty sunny!
Tonight's post I made last week, it took me all of 10 mins!
So I started with an A5 fancy shape card in white which I folded into an easle card, I made a mat using red satin Miri card then matted with green card which I'd ran through a new bauble M-bossability folder, added a lovely ripple edge ribbon and a heart shaped bobby dazzler and a couple of clear hat pins, the card stopper I embossed using a Merry Christmas EF unfortunately that doesn't show up too well in the photo. Plain and simple!

Good evening Lovelies, helllllllp! My mojo gone walkabout! :(
Ever had new toy overload? Lol! Well! I have bought soooo many new crafty goodies lately, that I've not known what to play with leading to a serious case of spoilt brat crafters block lol! So tonight's make is plain and simple, no toys no gadgets!
6x6 scalloped edge white card, I used white linen card which I'd scored 4 lines left about inch and half gap then scored another 4 lines, I masked them, then using verasmark ink i randomly stamped without using a block the Grunge polka dot background and the harlequine background stamps by Visible Image, then sweeped over using Turquoise shade and Hansa yellow pan pastels, sealed with some cheap hairspray, then with black adirondack ink stamped the Inspire stamp also by VI and the tiny flower heads are by Lavinia stamps, I highlighted here and there with a white gel pen! Before I go Visible Image stamps are great quality and they have a splendid range! Pop by and have a look http://www.visibleimage.co.uk/

Bobby part 2

Hi again Lovelies!
Well I listened to your opinions and really appreciated them! I know a few of you thought it looked nice how it was, but I wasn't happy with it! So here's part 2! What do you think?
I've coloured the 2 and Bobby in brighter and used spray glaze, I didn't want to over do it and cut it out this time and decoupaged it, I used a smaller circle and matted it on slightly darker blue using pan pastels, added some corners, thanks Barbara, good idea :) x and bought some fab little adhesive buttons! I am much happier with this version! Here's the pictures of 1st and 2nd thanks guys xxx

butterfly and lace!

Hello Lovelies! What gorgeous weather we've had today! I'm doing an earlier post today, so I get a bit longer to craft!
So without further ado! 6x6 scalloped edge whits card base! Matted with some blue gingham card from stash and embossed the reverse side with m-bossability folder, I tucked half the doily under, added a beautiful striped grosgrain ribbon with some lace over the top, cut and embossed both parts of the butterfly which is from the papillon spellbinders, I inked the solid butterfly with denim adirondack! Voila! Thanks for looking xxx

Opinions please!

Good evening lovelies! Been a lovely day today! Sun shining and warm!
Now I would really like some opinions on this card please?
I haven't stuck anything down as yet as I ran out of time! Now I was thinking of glazing the bobby? But I'm not sure? And also do you think there's something missing? I quite like the less is more type thing but I just think something's missing?
It's 8x8 and the background is stamped with the gingham background stamp by visible image, with versamark and coloured with pan pastel blue tint, same with the little trains, the 2 is of course Jane nesterenko not sure that's spelt right? and coloured with promarkers! Please feel free to advise me, I do like it! Thank you for spending the time to look I really do appreciate it xxx

Vintage lady!

Good evening lovelies, sorry I've not blogged a couple of days, I have been visiting and commenting everyone's blogs though! just had nothing to blog as I've been busy!
So this post is not my usual type of make and to be honest I can't say I like it much but it was for a daily challenge, I whipped it up in only about 15 mins! 5x5 square card, I matted with some vintage style 6x6 paper from a pad I've had lurking in my stash for some time, I inked it with antique linen then edged with Victorian velvet DI's I stamped onto another sheet from same pad and inked again using same inks the image is an old one I've only used a couple of times got it a long time ago, one of those foam ones from Qvc which I stamped using walnut stain and water coloured just the rose's and her lips with the VV DI and cut using nestie the matted onto a plum coloured paper, I inked a doily folded it cut the centre out then made it into a rough rosette added a button, some ready made flowers, the lace I threaded with a dusky pink ribbon just to tie in all the colours, thank you so much for your lovely comment, hope you like this one xxx
