Workshop projects

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you're enjoying your weekend, it's a bright morning down here on the South East coast, cold but lovely.
I had a great day yesterday at Eileen Godwin's Workshop down in Allhallows Rochester, it was a very productive day, great techniques and lovely friendly atmosphere.

I got home on Monday having had a lovely 10 days in Morocco, we had 6 days of rain unfortunately but still got some sunshine and warm weather, it was very relaxing.
Having spent a year looking after our gorgeous Foster boy he moved to his new forever family 5 weeks ago, it was very emotional as I'm sure you'd understand? The grieving process takes time and I'm still crying most days, but I know in time I move on, we go to visit him today, which often helps with closure, I just hope we can stay in touch?
We are flying out to Canada on Friday (9th) to spend a wonderful 3 weeks with our beautiful daughter which will be a wonderful end to the year.
So here are some of my creations from yesterday, I can't share them all yet as a couple are DT samples, so you'll have to wait until the 1st Jan for those ;)

I used stencils from Sweet PoppyDesigns by Georgina and Stamps from Lavinia Stamps on my star card.
Thank you for the great day Eileen xx
Have a fabulous Sunday, thank you for stopping by, Zoe xx

So here is the first of my CAS projects for this months bi-monthly feature, the aim is to showcase simple, clean and easy projects that can be made in 15 minutes.

I die cut some Linen texture cardstock simply stamped with Onyx Black Versafine Inkpad using the stunning Holly, Mistletoe and Poinsettia Script stamps I added black embossing powder and heat set as Versafine is an oil based permanent ink, then coloured in using pencils, I love these classic stamps, they are so beautiful, and so easy to create something quickly or something more detailed by decoupaging.

Zoe - Colour Challenge #28 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, I'm a little late posting today, up to my eyes in it at the moment. Today I'm sharing my first sample for Challenge number 28, I love these cool colours, I felt they were quite contemporary which is reflected in my project.

Here's my wall plaque!

I used some cardboard box which I semi stripped and painted with a chalk paint very randomly for a more "rustic" effect, then using a mini triangle Gel plate, chalk paints and various texturising implements - bubble wrap, comb and crumpled paper towel, I then inked the rest to tie in the colours using distress ink, I stamped my flowers over the top using Onyx Black Versafine inkpad - Sketchy Doodle Flowers and Sketchy Doodle Landscape, I then finished off by highlighting areas with a Chrome marker and liquid enamel dots.

This is the colour Swatch to copy, I didn't make the card with it!

Zoe - Colour Challenge #27 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, I'm back today with a second sample for Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge.please click on the link for the info on joining in.

For this card I used a glittery paint and simply painted it across the Linen textured card starting with the darkest shade working down to the lightest, once it was completely dry I used Versamark inkpad to stamp Winter edges stamps, first using a pale blue pearlescent embossing powder and the trees using a black embossing powder, I heat set the paler colour first to stop any contamination, the sentiment is a diecut.

Below is the colour Swatch in which to follow, yummy colours don't you think?

Thank you for joining me again today, I hope I've inspired you to join in? Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

CAS for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, I'm here today sharing my bi-monthly CAS projects for Chocolate Baroque DT blog.

As wonderful as it is to have the time, patience and products to experiment with techniques it's also fun to be able to create something lovely in less than 15 minutes, that's why we are showcasing CAS (clean and simple) projects that can be created in less than 15 minutes using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

I use a lot of Linen texture card, I love that little bit of class it adds to projects, here I used nesting stitched edge dies, the smallest square I stamped using Versafine Black inkpad the flower sprig in the first card and a single flower for the second card from Sketchy Doodle Landscape, and sentiment I then painted in areas using Acrylic Wax I also splattered some randomly on the card and left to dry, I masked the edges using a low tack tape and inked using a blending tool and Distress inks, the waxed areas created a lovely resist effect.

My second card I used the same technique as the first only masking first and stamping off the edge, I didn't splatter the wax on this one, leaving the tape in place I used two colours spray ink and tipped them to move them about, creating texture, added my sentiment and some faux stitching with a fine tip pen, few sequins and voila.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope I've inspired you in some way, please leave a comment, have a wonderful day, crafty hugs Zoe xx

Zoe - Colour Challenge #26 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies. Today I'm sharing with you my sample for the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #26

I love these colours so it was easy for me to use them I used Flora Musica stamp which I stamped using Archival inkpad in Black, I filled in the design using a liquid mask and fine paintbrush, I wasn't overly careful doing it as I was going for the more "shabby chic" style, I then blended over with a blending tool and Distress inks, splattered with water and dabbed with a dry cloth and dried it carefully with my heat tool, I stamped the music side of the stamp around the edge of the design using Rusty Hinge Distress ink, I removed the mask by rubbing with my finger, and coloured the flowers and leaves using Distress Markers and a water-brush, once it was all dry I splattered over using a paintbrush and watered down Distress ink, I inked the edges with a brown ink, added some sequins and Voila!

Here is the Colour Swatch in which to use for the challenge, I didn't make the Christmas card only the tag.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment, I hope you have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

A Bunch of Daisies from Designs by Georgina

Good afternoon Lovelies and what a simply glorious afternoon it is too.

I'm sharing with you a Canvas using Spray inks and the 8" and 12" Bunch of Daisies stencils from Designs byGeorgina , once my inks were dry I used the smaller stencil with Gesso on just the Daisy heads, a few stamps dotted here and there and some white and black ink splatters for added interest, then using the large stencil I used Texture paste, once dry (overnight) I coloured over the paste using the fabulous Molotow Liquid Chrome markers and added some dots of coloured liquid enamel.

Thank you for visiting, have a great day xx Zoe xx
