Exciting new products from Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, gosh I’ve been very neglectful of my blog lately!

Today I want to share with you some samples I’ve made for Sweet Poppy Stencils featuring the fab New Dies and Stencils yes you read right “Dies” to match some of the popular Stencils. They cut like cutting through butter first pass!

I’ve used the Poinsettia Stencil with the new gorgeous yellow pearlised paste and cut using the the coordinating die, it’s a little tricky to line up but Lucy advises to make a little mark on the wrong side of the die and about 1cm above the same point on the design, “also a good thing to bare in mind when pasteing through the stencil - writing side up!!! It won’t line up on the reverse!” How do I know this you ask? Hahahaha! So my background is sparkle pens scribbled onto a tile and spritzed with water and then large bubble wrap dipped in and stamped onto card, a few subtle background stamping using a grey ink second generation, and one of the wonderful Sweet Poppy Words simply inked.

A wall hanging made with some Multi media card which I brayered using chalk paints for a random look, again using the gorgeous pearlised pastes and the Mehndi Flower Stencil and Die, I inked over very lightly with black soot Distress ink to knock the whiteness back a bit, I used the Mehndi Flourish Stencil (one of the new Stencils) to create some cohesion to the background and flower using Black Archival ink.

My Christmas card I used the glossy red Paste through the Poinsettia stencil twice and added chunky glitter to the centre and edges while still wet, I created a green layer using a Gelli print in dark greens and just cut with the die, I also used the glossy green paste directly onto my prepared background just to create more depth, I cut and shaped my red Poinsettia’s with die and shaped with my fingers, the pastes dry quite flexible so great for forming petal’s, my background is several layers of Distress Oxides and white pigment ink through the large and small Poinsettia on the stencil, the word is also from a SP Stencil.

My last 2 are made from the same piece of card that I’d created using Distress Oxides. I used translucent paste through the Stencils and once dry hot foiled in black through the Laminator.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I Hope you like my samples, I loved making them. Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx
