By the sea

Honest opinion peeps! My niece is at Art College, and is a typical "arty" person if you get my meaning? She's not girlie and can be a bit random hence the arty comment, anyway do you think this is good enough, please be honest, I think the colouring in is a bit naff.
I used Michael Powell stamp used dark grey stazon on watercolour paper and coloured it with whispers brush markets and a water brush, edged it with black soot. The background I masked diagonally used cosmic shimmer chalk spritzers in orange, blue and yellow, embossed it with an embossability, edged with black soot then layered onto white card edged in black soot. Topped off with a summer themed button. Thanks for taking the time to look.

50th in Teal

Oh my goodness we're all turning 50! What a gorgeous day, I'm sitting in the garden, thought I'd do a quick blog, I made this card last night. Yet another 8x8 square card, scalloped edged in white, I used my favourite, coredinations, ebony and ivory pad in teal, the black as the background slightly sanded the edges, then the teal I used edgabilities scallop, cut and embossed and sanded, same with the whitewashed, then the topper in white card stock embossed with embossability little flower one, had to go through twice as card too

big, also did the edge with scallop adding the half scallop insert cut and embossed, strip along centre the teal on the other side of little flower embossability sanded, used red strip tape to apply teal vintage ribbon ruffle, cut the flowers using two different style spiral flowers and foliage in the teal and whitewash with the spellbinders dies, lightly sanded, the 50 was cut from template on double sided adhesive onto teal card then dipped into micro beads, for that all important bit of bling, finally sentiment stamped then cut embossed and sanded using another spellbinders labels die. Hope you like it! Thank you for spending the time to look. I am entering this into http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ my inspiration comes from the wonderfully talented Sue Wilson.

Happy 50th

Hi again, Another 8x8 square, this time scalloped edge, the top and bottom edges are cut from the Sue Wilson design lattice dies, flowers, foliage and bird and bird cage all from spellbinder dies, the fifty is a template, I used the same paper as the flowers, foliage and edges but used double sided adhesive and dipped them in micro beads for some texture and a little bit of bling, few buttons from stash and voila! It is for a young lady, but she's not a girlie girl or blingy particularly, but me being the magpie I am I can't resist a bit of bling. Thanks for taking the time to look, hope you like it.

Oops I've ripped my pants

My hubby is a golfer, so over the years I've done a few golf/sports related male cards. 8x8 square card in white, get it yet? I like that size and shape! Martha Stuart double loop punch both sides to create double sided edge in red, background was embossed then inked with vintage photo distress ink using mask, mounted onto red, then used plaid background stamp on red card which I stamped first in white then off set it and stamped again with green, was trying to create the McDonald tartan lol, topper is as usual cut using spellbinder nestie, on watercolour paper using black stazon, then shaded using vintage photo distress ink and water brush. Thanks for taking a look, hope you like it :)

Silver Birch

This card was inspired by Barbara Gray, I used her stamps for the topper which I first stamped and then made a mask of the stamp, and made a sun mask, and created the sky and landscape by tearing some paper to create a mask, I used cosmic shimmer chalk spritzers in green and blue, used pro markers in two shades of grey to colour the trees, and coloured the sun in pro markers, and topped off with a light mist of crafters companion silver glitter spray.

The base card is brown A5 the background was created with an A4 leaf mask which I first embossed then colour tinted with vintage photo distress ink then spritzed over with green and orange cosmic shimmer chalk spritzers, mounted both the back ground and the topper onto black paper, die cut some leaves and flourishes with the black and topped off with two bows and two black hat pins.
Thank you for taking the time to look, I hope you like it :)

Vintage Birdcage

This card was made a few months ago, its an A5 fancy shaped card, I used vintage papers from a 6x6 pad and ink the edges with Vintage Photo Tim Holtz destress ink, the flowers were cut from a spiral flower die I think their called Marianne dies? anyway they are pale blue Im sure you'll know what make they are, the birds birdcage and extra swirly bit on the birds wings were all cut from spellbinder dies. Thank you for spending the time to look I hope you like it. xx
Hello! So today is my 19th wedding anniversary, and this is the card I made for him, we live by the sea and he plays golf near a lighthouse, infact the golf club is named after the lighthouse.
The base is an 8x8 craft card, i used various shades of blue Coredinations, my favourite :) I used the new spellbinder sea themed dies, I cut 3 different colours for the sea and layered up using the waste as well to creat some texture and reality, the back ground I tore and embossed with A4 mask and sanded, the little flags are felt and topped off with a tim Holtz screw style brad. Hope you like it xx

Monday 21 May 2012

I made this card last year, it was inspired by my best friends daughters wedding her theme was orange and black, it was stunning actually, although it doesn't sound it, this wasn't her wedding card, although I did theme it, it was a lot more white than black and orange, I wish I'd taken a picture of it now, it was pretty. Anyway back to this one, 8x8 craft card black magic coredinations, with orange otherside of course, pierced round edges and sanded, Orange Coredinations embossed with A4 leaf design mask, sanded, spellbinder dies, spiral flower, cant remember what one, foliage, and the butterfly is a blue one I cant remember the make, but you'll all know who's it is, I'm sure, more Black magic Coredinations embossed with cuttlbug folder, swirls, and sanded, edged with a spellbinders design cant remember what set, topped off with ribbon, hat pins and some bling. hope you like :)
