New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, well woke up to a light layer of the White stuff, personally I love it lol, although not keen to go out in it, but it's pretty to look at these days lol.

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I've made using the gorgeous new Stencils from Sweet Poppy you can buy them here , you might want to check out the "Winter Sale" too, some fab bargains to be had.

My first card I used a nesting die to cut my card base and layer I used White linen texture card for the topper and base, I get all my card stock from Papermill Direct Apart from special stamping and watercolour cards of course, anyway I used Crushed Olive distress ink to colour the Linen card then I used some bubble wrap with same ink to just create some texture for the background, then using a magnetic sheet to secure my card and stencil I sponged through Black Soot distress ink using a pouncing technique, bit of green Sweet Poppy ultra fine glitter on the flowers to just lift it.

My second card I used Flitterglue through the Zebra Stencil, I removed it a washed in warm water and a nail brush straight away, then used Flock over the design.

I hope you like my cards, thank you for taking the time to visit, have a great day and keep warm and safe xx Zoe xx

Sneaky peep part 3 of new Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, brrr it's been cold, no snow here yet but if you've had it, I hope your keeping safe and warm? So back again with more of my Sweet Poppy samples, these gorgeous new stencils are being released for sale on 23rd Jan you will find them here the lovely Lucy will be demoing on Create and Craft TV on 7th Feb 11 am too

So here are some more.

These gorgeous "Fairy bells" I've used Black Diamond Sparkle Medium on a background of chalk paint stamped with a crackle stamp to get a more vintage effect, the little bird is from another one of the stencils.

This time I used Black Gesso to paint my tag, then I stamped the Lavinia Stamps "Vine Border" stamp with Silks acrylic iridescent gold, I used pearlescent Sweet Poppy paste with the Fairy Bells stencil, which Tracey Dutton from Lavinia Stamps designed, gold gilding wax around the edges.
I think these are called "Fairy pods"? I just adore them, another Tracey Dutton design, I have the stamp of them too, stunning, I used Black Diamond Sparkle Medium on a "Bokeh effect" background, which is created with Distress inks, then once dry using various sized circle masks and White Pigment ink you just go over randomly the larger circles slightly lighter than the smaller, it's meant to give the effect of headlights in the fog, I love it.
That Tracey Dutton is a talented lady, here's another of hers, and a fine Wise Owl he is twoo! Lol, I used Distress inks on a textured card stock and Crackle paste, I used gold gilding wax to finish.

I hope you like my creations, I've so enjoyed creating these, thank you for finding the time to visit, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Sneaky peek part 2 Sweet Poppy stencils

Good morning Lovelies, well here we are again with some more samples I've made for Sweet Poppy Stencils, these are due to be realsed on the 23rd jan for sale and will be featured on Create and Craft TV on the 7fth feb @ 11am.

The Design team and I were very excited to receive our stencils (eagerly awaited none the less) and took no time at all to put them to work, love love love them all, such beautiful designs and some of them by the very talented Tracey Dutton - Aka Lavinia Stamps.

I used Rose Red and Orange Brusho's with some gold Distress stain on my craft mat, spritzed with water and swooshed my card through it, dried it and repeated to get more depth of colour, technique otherwise known as "Wrinkle free distressing" sadly the subtle gold metallic doesn't really show up in the photo, I simply used Black Diamond Sparkle Medium through the Dotty Flower stencil, simple but very effective I think?

Brusho's background again, just sprinkled onto wet card then spritzed again, the gorgeous Flarol Spray stencil designed by Tracey Dutton, this time I used Gold SP texture paste and whilst wet after removing the stencil I sprinkled with Black Brushos and left to dry, in the photo the flowers look completely black but in the flesh they look "Rustic", the word from Angelic Words stencil using black soot DI.

A canvas using Dotty Flowers with pearlescent paste, once dry I used Silks Acrylics on a dry brush in sweeping sideways strokes to create a random messy effect lol, I edged the canvas, the die cut word and the flowers with silver gilding wax and added a few dew drops, I have to say "this was an experiment and not my favourite one by far" in fact I'm not even sure I like it at all? But thought I'd show it anyway.

And my final one for today using this stunning Floral Delights stencil I simply inked through using Distress inks having first embossed the word, a few iridescent sequins here and there and a cute Ladybird to finish off, job done, simple but pretty.

Thank you for finding the time to visit, I hope you have a fab day, Zoe xx

Sweet Poppy Stencils on Create and Craft TV 7th feb

Good morning Lovelies. Today I'm sharing with you a sneaky peek at some gorgeous new Stencils from Sweet Poppy, they are due to be released on the 23rd January and will be featured on Create and Craft 7th Feb.

As its always exciting to get to play with brand new crafty bits, me and the rest of the Sweet Poppy design team have really enjoyed these gorgeous new designs and can't wait to show you what can be done, so here are a few of mine.

My first is featuring Angelic Words and Floral Spray, both designed for Lucy by the wonderfully talented Tracey Dutton - Aka Lavinia Stamps, I used my Spritzing tool with a Distress Marker through the words and lightly over the background, using a magnetic sheet I placed my Floral stencil onto the card and taped in place, covering the areas I don't want paste, I used Pearlescent SP texture Paste, removed the stencil and carefully sprinkled SP ultra fine glitters over the wet paste, the glitters are fab, very very fine and not too sparkly, very good for those more vintagy designs if your not really into sparkle.

My second is a canvas, I used Bronze SP texture paste through the gorgeous "Tree of Life" stencil, another of Tracey Duttons designs, then once dry I used chalk paints in natural shades and just dry brushed side to side fairly randomly, once I was happy and it was dry I highlighted the tree with a pale lime green pencil and lightly went over it with gold and copper gilding wax, the word is from the Angelis Words stencil, I used a black fine liner marker. I kept this fairly simple as I was hoping to achieve a more organic look.

Here's another one using Tree of Life, this time I used a bronze Sparkle Medium on White Linen texture card stock, very simple design but I think quite classy?

My final one for today is this gorgeous Floral Delights, such an elegant and versatile design, I used one of the new background stencils with my trusty spritzer tool and Distress Markers in 2 shades of green, then on a magnetic sheet I inked through the stencil using 2 shades of green DI and Picked Raspberry for the flowers, I removed cleaned and dried the stencil and dried the ink on the card, once dry I replaced the stencil masking the edges, I used Translucent SP paste, removed the stencil then covered with clear micro beads, once dry I used the Angelic Words stencil again with black soot DI.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today, please pop back again tomorrow for some more sneaky peeks, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #1 January "Anything Goes"

Happy New Year Lovelies, I hope you all had a fab Christmas and you're not suffering too badly from bringing in the New Year? Cup of tea and early night for us, lol very boring, been there done all that and had the hang overs, I'm way past all that now lol!

So to kick off the new year here's what I've made for The Lavinia Stamps Challenge, if you've never joined in before then please be mindful of the rules - only Lavinia Stamps or products used please there is a very generous prize of £40 to spend on the Lavinia Stamps online shop

My first 2 projects I used a fab technique called "Bokeh Effects" it's supposed to look like looking through squinty eyes at headlights lol, anyway it's pretty easy, fun and effective I think? I got it from this months issue of Craft Stamper mag.

My third card I just layered up chalk paints using a dryish brush to get a very random effect, the Happy Birthday is a die cut, I used Imagination crafts dimensional glitter gel.

My final card I masked the edges of linen texture card and applied Milled Lavender DI sweeping across ways to get a more faded effect, I used Bundled Sage and Milled Lavender to stamp the subtle leafy background, birds and stars, finished off with glitter glue here and there.

I hope you like my projects? Thank you for taking the time to visit today and I hope it's inspired you to join in? Please take a look at my very talented Teamies projects too xx have a great day xx Zoe xx

Couple of quickies

Good afternoon Lovelies and Happy New Year, I hope you all had a great Christmas, ours was lovely, family Christmas Day, me cooking of course lol but very quiet the rest of the time, just how I like it, it was foster baby's 1st Christmas, being only 10 weeks old it was a bit overwhelming for him bless him, he's not used to having so many people around, but he got over it quick enough.

We have a fair few birthdays in the new year so I've managed to sneak a play today whilst Bubs napped :) I made several but the others I can't share just yet ;)

It's mil birthday this month, she's a lovely lady and very special, I just felt like a simple card for her as I thought the words said it all.

And here's a card I made for my hubby's nephew, he will be 19 next week, I find teenagers very hard to make for, especially boys, so just felt something random would suit, I used my Brusho's and Designs by Ryn Stamp, the sentiment is Chocolate Baroque, I highlighted areas with gold pen.

Thank you for visiting today, please pop back tomorrow for some DT samples for Lavinia Stamps Challenge, going live at 8am. Have a great day xx
