New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, lovely weather for ducks!!! Gosh it's been a very wet June for us, I hope we are going to get some more summer?

Today I'm sharing with you some samples I've made featuring the gorgeous Steampunk Dragonfly this was designed by the very talented Emma Cronin for Sweet Poppy Stencils, our lovely Lucy Ellis will be on Create and Craft tv filming live from Doncaster on the 10 th July, don't forget to set your recorders or watch live.

My second creation is a 7x7 canvas, I used Brusho's on my background, letting it run and mix together, I added some detail using the Cogs and Gears Flower background plate, also designed by Emma, and stamped using a background stamp with Flitterglu and added Gilding flakes, I stencilled on my Dragonfly using Black Archival Inkpad and cut n dry foam, once washed and dried I replaced the stencil and using some foam I rubbed in some turquoise glitter medium to get a more "foiled effect" but not all over, just in places on the wings and body, a few sequins and blue micro beads here and there, edged with black paint and "Voila"

I hope you love this new stencil and manage to tune in on the 10th July, have a great day xx Zoe xx p.s I'll be back tomorrow with some more samples!

Make something beautiful in less than 15 mins

Good morning Lovelies, phew we've had some hot and humid days, it's quite tiring but I'm not complaining!!!

Today I'm sharing with you my second post this month in our Bi-monthly feature showcasing CAS (clean and simple) projects using fabulous Chocolate Baroque stamps, in less than 15 minutes. It's so easy to experiment with different techniques etc but of course we are aware that's it's not for everyone, so we as the Design team want you to get the most out of your stamps and show that they can be simple and quick but equally as beautiful.

I used dies to create my base and layers using a Linen texture card, I love the effect linen card gives on clean and simple designs, it just adds a crispness and class, I stamped using Versafine - Onyx black the beautiful Fancy Flowers and coloured using coloured pencils turning and repeating in the other corner and simply stamped my sentiment from Birthday Words

Now this card I didn't time myself but I fear it was a little over 15 mins due to the fussy cutting of the butterfly but it's still Clean and simple, again I've used nesting dies to create my layers and a frame with Linen Texture card, I stamped with Versamark Inkpad the Decadent Brocade and heat embossed using a pale blue pearly embossing powder, I had some scraps of card that I'd previously sprayed with a mica based ink and stamped again using the Versamark Inkpad and pale blue EP using a beautiful butterfly from Tangled Garden set, I used a word die and hot glue gun to attach my butterfly to create dimension.

I used a circle mask/stencil and simply stamped around using various colours of distress inkpads foliage from the Teeny Weeny Meadow set word from Journal today set.

Thank you for kindly visiting and leaving a comment, I love to read them. Please pop along and check out what the rest of my talented teamies have created for you here

I hope you've been inspired? Have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #24 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, boy these months come around so fast, I can't believe we are half way through the year already!

So here I am posting my sample for this months Colour Challenge for Chocolate Baroque, please check the blog for rules and details, which can be found here

Here is my card using the colours for this month.

I used distress inks for my background and created a shadow by stamping with water and heating drying.

My image is from Autumn Hedgerow which I inked up with Black Versafine Inkpad and stamped 3 times without inking between (second and third generation stamping)

Sentiment - Words of Inspiration

Background - Modern Textures and Tangled Fragments

Dragonfly - Just Butterflies and Butterfly Blush

To finish I added some dots using a white gel pen to the pods and some glitter glue gel for the Dragonfly trail.

This is the colour swatch in which to follow, aren't they scrummy colours?

I hope you feel inspired to join in thus month, thank you so much for visiting today, have a great day xx Zoe xx

15 minutes or less!

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

So here on the Chocolate Baroque DT blog we are doing a Bi-monthly feature showcasing CAS projects made using CB stamps.

It's such a privilege to be part of such a fab team and use such wonderful stamps, it's also so easy to forget that people of all levels and tastes enjoy stamping and don't always have the time to experiment with different techniques or even enjoy it, hence these posts.

I must say I really like CAS style projects, I think apart from being quick and easy but also look classy, it can be very difficult figuring out "when to stop"

My first 2 cards I used my 4x4 round Gelli plate with inks and stamped directly onto the Gelli plate using Versafine Inkpad, the first card is the primary print and the second more subtle card is the second print.

A So what did I use?

Gothic Fragments stamp set

Butterfly blush and the matching Just Butterflies stamp set

Mackintosh Sentiments stamp set

Sketchy Doodle Landscape stamp set

Stitched nesting dies

Small Lacey doily die

4" round Gelli plate,

Distress inkpads - Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon

Versafine Inkpads- Onyx Black, Spanish Moss, Majestic Blue

Sequins

My third card, I just stamped with Versamark and heat set using white embossing powder the sentiment from Positive Pants stamp set, then just smeared Twisted Citron, Carved Pumpkin and Musturd Seed Distress inkpads using a piece of cut n dry foam, I then got Distress re-inkers in the same colours and lightly flicked using a paintbrush and a bit of water to thin it down a bit, once dry a few colourful sequins and Voila! A super quick card.

Thank you so much for popping in, I hope you like my card, it would make my day if you left a comment, have a great day xx Zoe xx

A totally CAS card and matching Bookmark which I've stamped onto Linen texture card and coloured with pencils, the corner detail is just fineline marker and a ruler, I added some gold glitter gel to the pod heads.

Going floral

Good Morning Lovelies, is it the weekend already? Phew the time goes fast, anyhow, had a lovely play the night before and here's the results.

I used Carabella Studio stamps on the background of my card which had been coloured with Brusho's previously, the Poppies are by Donna Downey, I love poppies but this set I used time and time again, I love em, I stamped using Brusho's, the words are Altenew and the die cut leaves again coloured with Brusho's are from Penny Black.

My canvas I used Collage Medium Crazing with a circles stencil and once dry I rubbed over with Distress Crayons, blending with my fingers and using an almost dry wet wipe to dilute and blend the colours more, the script stamp in the background is by Imagination Crafts and the beautiful Daisies are a stencil from Designs by Georgina

Thank you for visiting today, have a great weekend xx Zoe xx
