A little go at Zentangle

Good evening Lovelies! Well it seems like ages since I blogged! I've had a busy week! Having been vacant for 6 weeks I have finally got a baby! And then typically I get offered 2 more new borns lol! I was gutted, I've been wanting a new born all this time, I took the first one offered which is 4 and a half months old little girl, I've been getting to know her all week and she finally came here yesterday (Thursday) afternoon! What a little sweetie she is bless her! She has a reflux problem which is nasty for her, but I will get her to GP ASAP can't stand to see a baby cry like that, one big bonus, she sleeps through the night yippee!

So onto my make, I made this tag for a bi-weekly challenge in Craft & Chat group, the them was flowers and Zentangle I really enjoyed making this tag and it's only the first time I've done it, I like how it turned out, the flowers and text stamps are from Studio 490, I love these flowers I use them so often! The tiny flower clusters are Lavinia stamps! Thank you for visiting xxx

By the way her name is Ruby xxx

It's a jungle out there!

Good evening Lovelies! Brrrrrr! It's been freezing today, good excuse to stay in and craft! ;)

I have been asked by a very good friend to make some "Wildlife" style cards! He is a fabulous photographer and specialises in Wildlife! His name is Shane Worton and here is the link to his website! He does sell his work too http://shaneworton.co.uk/ I also have a link on the left side bar on my blog, give it a visit! Anyway here's what I came up with! All these cards were stamped with a stamp set from Creative Expressions!

The first one I created the background by spraying with Dylusions brown and black then embossed using a cuttlebug EF that is actually Zebra, but it's stripes lol! I then rubbed on gold Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Wax! It's new and it's Ab Fab, love it, my new fave thing to play with lol!

Papermill Direct Hammered texture card! I embossed the topper with the same Zebra EF as the first one!
Pan Pastels!
And finally Distressed Inks!
Thank you for spending the time to visit and comment I really do appreciate it xx
I'm entering this post into http://panpasteluk.blogspot.co.uk/ the theme is a touch of green!

Pan pastels meets Sheena!

Good evening Lovelies! I hope you've all had a lovely day? It's been beautiful here, bit chilly but sunny, I went out with my Bestie today to Canterbury, she was looking for her outfit for her sons wedding which is in August, we had a great but tiring day, not very successful outfit wise, but that means we will have to go out again lol!

So onto today's post, I made this card Sunday, I was putting Eileen's workshop to good use, practicing my Pan Pastel technique's, I've been playing with them for a long time and love them, but I struggled getting a nice moon/sun, so thanks to Eileen I think I've got it? The key was to use two colours to make a more atmospheric and dimensional effect! Ive used Sheena Douglass's new "little bit sketchy" stamp of the beautiful oak tree, I heat embossed with versamark ink and Cosmic Shimmer black EP the sentiment also from the same set is just stamped with black Archival! I used Linen textured card from Papermill Direct and matted and layered onto black and red card also from Papermill Direct, I like how the image has lines through it from the texture! I made the wisps of cloud with an eraser! I'm really pleased how this has turned out, thank you for visiting today xxx

6x6 base matted with Linen texture card from Papermill Direct, I rounded the corners, the rest is spellbinder dies, the rabbit stamp is a £1 one from Hobby-craft the background is Indigoblu Square peg Round hole stamp, I did some masking in order to achieve the image!

The first picture shows what's through the window!

Art Journal page!

Good evening Lovelies! Come on spring!

Well I have created another page of my Journal! I started by coating my Indigoblu Swirly stamp with Glimmer Glaze (all that jazz) and stamping in the corner then using a sponge just randomly running around the edges in a very rough fashion and dabbed with some bubble wrap too, once dry I used brown DI all over this created a resist! The stamps are Visible Image from the Immortal Love set, I coloured the roses with Spectrum Noir's and glittered! It was a great way to practise my colouring skills, which I must say "aren't great" but they are improving, I need a lot more practise I think?

Thank you for spending the time to visit, I do appreciate xxx

Zoe Challenge #2 "One for the Birds"

Good morning Lovelies and welcome! I'm sharing with you today my sample for our 2nd challenge, over on Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all who joined in our first challenge.

So our theme this fortnight is "One for the Birds" I love this theme, birds are a particular fave of mine when it comes to crafting!

8x8 card base matted with black card, I've kept it simple and clean, my topper I used Linen texture card from Papermill Direct, I just splattered Distress stains in various colours, stamped a flourish, sorry I don't know the make its a wooden stamp I've had years! The bird is from a set by Paperartsy, the birdcage is a spellbinders, the flowers are from Studio 490, I stamped the text strip first then stamped the flower on top, just to create a bit of interest, I used the large and smaller flowers, layered them up added some dew drops, sentiment is also Paperartsy! A very quick and simple card, well I say "quick" the flowers took a while to cut out, but apart from that very quick, I hope you like it, thank you so much for visiting today, I hope it's inspired you enough to join in this fortnight, please pop along and check out the rest of the wonderful DT projects here.

2 More Art Journal Pages

Good Evening Lovelies! I hope all you fabulous Mummy's out there have had a wonderful Mothers Day? Mines just been like any other day :( my daughter lives in Canada! Didn't even get a card :( boy it's been cold today! Well I've had a lovely afternoon in my craft room locked away playing, I've made a couple of DT projects which I obviously can't share yet, and I've done 2 more Art Journal pages and a Altered Art Dictionary page!

My first page I stamped using black Stazon the Urban Stamps stamp, sprayed with Dylusions, drying between colours to stop them getting muddy, then I ran it through my GC using a leaf EF but only the 4 edges, to create an embossed frame, I bleached the leaves, used Silver Rub-N-Buff on the leafy boarder, the butterfly is from Studio 490 it's my favourite butterfly at the moment! I used Dylusions inks on the page too to create a slight boarder!

My second page is Lavinia Stamps with Stazon then sprayed lightly with Pink and Purple Dylusions inks, then laid a tree mask over the main image and sprayed again in the same colours, the sentiment is by Dylusions which I bleached to make it stand out! It doesn't really show in the photo lol! Bit too far away!
So here's the 2 pages together, I know Art Journals are meant to be quite random, but I'm a bit OCD about things kind of coordinating, colour-wise anyway!
I hope you like them? I love doing them, it's so nice playing without a plan! Thank you for visiting my blog today xxx

Charlottes card!

Good evening Lovelies! What a beautiful day today, cold but the sun was shining!

Today's post is a card made by next door neighbours little girl Charlotte who is only 6, we had some fun yesterday (Sunday) in my craft room, she wanted to make a card for her Mummy for Mother's Day! She bought some bits and pieces to use bless her, unfortunately I didn't think to take a photo of her Mother's Day card :( it turned out fab, she didn't really need my help she knew what she wanted, so we did some die cutting which she enjoyed and a bit of stamping! I'd had a clear out the day before and had loads of stuff that I was going to give away so I gave some to Charlotte, bless her heart she made me this card as a Thank you! I'm so thrilled with it, she's done a great job, I think the layout is fab for her age!

Thank you Charlotte xxx
