New stencils by Rebecca Baer

Good evening Lovelies, I hope your having a fab weekend? Well as those that visit regularly will know I've been decorating, well yay! I've finished and I must say "I've done a blooming good job of it" :) the new doors don't come until next week and we've yet to order the carpet, but my work is done, I feel absolutely cream crackered lol. Hubby was away with work most of the week so I did it all, I've even up cycled the mirror that was in the hall, will post photos once it's dry, anyway less of my waffle, here's what I've made today!

I used the gorgeous Memory box die - Distressed Benson Corner

Penny Black stamp set Enamor

Distress inks and Liquid pearls

I used Distress sprays for the background then using the gorgeous stencil by Rebecca Baer - Harlequin Damask with Gesso, I used Dylusions paints through the Poppy Forest stencil by Donna Downey and used pens to outline and add texture, the die is by Penny Black.

5"x7" canvas, I painted using my fingers and wet wipes with Dylusions paints, then stencilled with Alphabet Soup and Honeycomb by Rebecca Baer, I then used the Poppy Forest stencil by Donna Downey again, I love this stencil, the word is also part of a DD stencil, all of the products I've used in today's post are available at http://www.oysterstamps.co.uk

Thank you for visiting today and have a great bank holiday weekend xx Zoe xx

New Lavinia Stamps

Good morning Lovelies' wow, it's actually stopped raining this morning, I felt like I needed webbed feet yesterday, just as well I was in all day decorating.

Today I'm sharing with you some projects I've made using the fabulous new Lavinia Stamps, oh I just adore them!

My first 2 are using Brusho's and The Dragon Pods stamps.

I used the heart and script background on this one and I've used gilding flakes on the gorgeous Fairy Orbs.

I've used Dylusions paints, crackle texture paste and gold gilding wax along with the Single Fairy Thistle stamp.

Here I've used liquid mask to create the White splodges, then Aquatints, then Meadow Grass and Seasonal Tree, the Unicorn and birds which aren't new but are still on the website.

I hope you like my projects. Another decorating day for me :( undercoating the woodwork today, deep joy (not) lol, oh, good news though! Hubby has ordered new doors :) sad isn't it that would so excited about doors? Lol.

Have a great day, pop back tomorrow if you get time, I have a few more projects to share with you xxx

Rather a lot of Blue and Green

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you had a great weekend?

I'm starting decorating my hall today, I've only been asking hubby for 4 weeks to sort out what we have and what we need lol, given his record that's not too bad, it took him 4 years to get around to doing the bedroom, but as usual it's turning into a bigger and costlier job lol, I was simply going to paint, but now it's new carpet and last night was talking about new doors lol I'm not complaining, in fact it's something I've wanted for ages, but it didn't come from me, so when it's his idea it makes me feel better lol, I'm not 100% convinced the "doors" will happen?

Anyway less waffle, I've been having a lovely lot of playtime lately.

I managed to finally get hold of this gorgeous Stampin up embossing folder, it's a retired one and very hard to find.

I started with watercolour card, I embossed then using a Brayer I applied Versamark ink and white Embossing powder, I then painstakingly went about removing the powder with a fine paintbrush from centre of the flowers (I only wanted the powder on the raised bit) I heat embossed it once I was happy. Once the powder was melted and cool I wet the whole design with water and just added Aquatints to colour in.

A very simple tag, using the gorgeous New stamps from Lavinia Stamps - Meadow Grass and sentiment, I used white linen texture card for my tag which is a memory box die - Stitched Mainstreet tags Available from Oysterstamps, I started by using a simple mask to ink a moon/sun, I know it's blue lol but it can be either in my world lol, the Grasses I inked using Distress Markers and huffed before stamping, voila! very simple.

I've used the gorgeous Patchwork Butterfly A4 stamp set by Chocolate Baroque, it's huge, I stamped and coloured using DI and fussy cut, stamped onto my card added a bit of interest with some stencils, the sentiment is also from Chocolate Baroque, stick the butterfly on and it's done, bish bash bosh lol.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today, now I'm off to get dirty and dusty :( #hatedecorating! You all have a great day whatever you're doing xx Zoe xx

Day 4 - New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies and a happy Sunday, I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather yesterday?

Today is my final day of samples using the fab new Stencils from Sweet Poppy Today it's the gorgeous Poinsettia, I adore this stencil, so versatile, it has 3 sizes of poinsettia on one stencil.

So here's what I made -

My first I've combined with the Holly backplate and Holly Sprig stencil, I used Sparkle Medium, the poinsettia I made 3 layers of the largest size and one of the medium size, using Claret Sparkle medium on Acetate, fussy cut, shaped and layered.

I offset the stencil and inked through with Spiced Marmalade and Seedless Preserve Distress inks, removed the stencil, dried the card and washed the stencil, dried it and put back in place, I always use a magnetic sheet to keep it all in place, then I taped and covered all the edges to protect, and spread Translucent Paste with the SP spreader, I then carefully removed the stencil and dipped the card into clear micro beads and left to dry, I repeated in a smaller size to make a cute little matching tag.

I used the White Glossy Paste and the gorgeous Sweet Poppy glitter

Same as above using the glitters.

Thank you very much for visiting today, I appreciate your comments, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Day 3 - New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, wishing you all a fab weekend!

Today is the the third day of featuring my samples using the gorgeous new Sweet Poppy Stencils, today is the beautiful Holly Sprig.

I used White Glossy paste and the fab Sweet Poppy glitters on both of these cards, the sentiments are also Sweet Poppy stencils and I used the same technique.

I hope you have a great weekend, thank you so much for spending the time to visit xx Zoe xx

Day 2 - New Sweet Poppy stencils

Good morning Lovelies, fellow crafters and bloggers, the sun is shining at the mo woohoo!

Today I'm sharing a rather unusual and clever design from Sweet Poppy. For those "Steampunk" fans you will love this tree designed by the very talented Emma Cronin.

My first card I masked off the frame and inked through the stencil with Versamark, removed and washed my stencil, then added some "Sticky Embossing Powder" you literally just heat it until it changes being careful not to overheat as it loses its sticky if overdone, then I added my flakes, rubbed over with my hand to make sure it was covered then using a scrubby sponge thing scrubbed it until the flakes revealed the design.

My second card I used Sweet Poppy White Glossy paste, while the stencil was still in place I added Mica Powders in Silver, Gold and Plum, I removed the stencil and immersed into warm soapy water straight away, I then tapped off all the loose powder and heated with my heat tool until it bubbled, let cool then give it a good buff with a soft dry cloth.

I used the White Glossy paste, removed the stencil and then used the fantastic Sweet Poppy glitters, I actually used my mixture bag (dregs I've collected that have mixed up colours) there's all sorts in there, I used the same technique for the sentiment too also SP

Thank you for visiting, be sure to pop along and check out the new designs, have a great day xx Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies! So where has the Summer gone? I do hope this isn't the end of the warm sunny weather.

Today I'm sharing with you my DT samples using the gorgeous new Sweet Poppy Stencil - Black Tip (Dragon Head) I've named him Ol Handsome! Lol he's gorgeous don't you agree?

I made a small canvas (5" x 7") I used Dylusions paints with my fingers and a wet wipe to create a very random background, the Circles are one of the new Backplates, I inked with Hickory Smoke DI, Ol Handsome is inked using Archival, I just added a text stamp to create some interest and texture, I used a copper gilding wax around the edge.

I inked through the stencil with Distress inks, removed the stencil, washed and dried, replaced and skimmed over with Sweet Poppy Translucent paste, I finished off by dipping in clear micro beads, I always use a Magnetic sheet when working with the metal stencils along with Sweet Poppy Stencil tape, it's fabulous stuff, you don't need to de-tack, it comes off perfectly without tearing your card.

Now, I thought Ol Handsome here would make a fab looking Sea Serpent, so I used White Glossy paste and a selection of Blues and greens Sweet Poppy glitters, now these glitters are superb, so very very fine they are almost like dust, a much more muted sparkle, which I love, it's great for a more distressed effect or vintage projects.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like Ol Handsome as much as I do? I must say "he's a huge hit with the rest of the SP DT too" please pop back again tomorrow, I will be featuring another New Stencil.

Have a great day xx Zoe xx

Heartfelt Creations Stamps from Oyster Stamps

Good morning Lovelies, I hope your enjoying this very non-summer weather lol?

Today I'm sharing with you some DT samples I've made for Oyster Stamps from the Heartfelt Creations - Poinsettia Collection

My first card I stamped onto Kraft card using Versamark and heat embossed with White EP and twice onto Vellum, I coloured the image with Inktense pencils, first white then went over with the colours, I coloured on the reverse of the vellum.

I used the Large Circle Burst Die from Memory box and just very simply stamped and embossed in gold, I again stamped the poinsettias twice and decoupaged.

I first created the background with Distress ink and Prima Marketing - Color Bloom metallic spray in Gold Foil, I inked the edges with Black Soot. The Script and Baubles stamp I have deconstructed by inking up and placing masking tape over the holly border bit and stamped, so all I got was the script and Baubles, then did the same using the Holly border bit at the bottom of my card, I stamped it twice and coloured in the baubles using watercolour crayons and decoupaged them, the bow is a die, I used the gold spray on white card stock to tie it all in, I then added some Liquid Glass by DecoArt onto the Hollyberries and a few dots of gold glitter glue in the centre of the poinsettia.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Playtime

Good evening Lovelies, I've not blogged for a few days, I've had lots of DT projects to get on top of, but I think I'm there finally, so I've managed to have a little "free" crafting.

My first card is what I made for my niece, using the gorgeous Penny Black stamps and Die.

My tag I made for a FB group challenge.

I used the gorgeous Dylusions paints with a wet wipe and fingers along with Chocolate Baroque stamps, the Butterfly is Wendy Vecchi, the sentiment is Dylusions.

Thank you for visiting tonight xx Zoe xx

Chocolate Baroque stamps

Good Evening Lovelies! Been a bit of a wet and windy couple of days, been a great excuse to craft, but I do hate the rain, especially in the summer :( never mind, it's meant to be better tomorrow!

As most of you know, I'm a new member of the Design Team for Chocolate Baroque, so I thought I'd show you a couple of cards I've made.

I used stencils and Distress inks to create my background and the gorgeous Fantastic Florals set

I used a mask then sprayed some Goosebumps, once dry I used spray inks, I buffed up the goosebumps before the ink dried, I removed the mask and used a negative part slightly smaller with Distress ink and a stencil just for some interest and texture, the stamps I used are from the Spring Foliage set, the birds and word are Dies.

Thank you so much for visiting today, have a great week xx Zoe xx

I used the Giant Poppy stamp from Indigoblu coloured in with Neo-Color 11 watercolour crayons, the background which is very subtle is stamped with Dusky Damask stamp by Chocolate Baroque and also the sentiment. I used Grand nestie to make frame.

Brusho's and Donna Downey Stencil.

SplodgeAway Camera stencil and the words are part of a Donna Downey stencil, I used Gellatos for the background and my fingers dipped in water, various stamps by Finnibair - Prima Marketing sets.

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you have a fab weekend and I'm still alive to read your comments lol xx Zoe xx
