Zoe - Challenge #21 for Chocolate Baroque

Good morning Lovelies, I hope you're all fine and dandy?

Today I'm sharing with you my DT project For the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge please check out the rules on the blog when entering!

I love this colour pallet

After blending my background colours using Distress inks - Shaded Lilac, Evergreen Bough, Wilted Violet and Tumbled Glass I flicked some water and blotted to get a bit of texture. Once it was dry I stamped one of the background stamps from one of my all time favourite CB stamp sets Dusky Damask twice, using the Evergreen bough inkpad, then I stamped the larger scroll and sentiment from the gorgeous Patchwork Butterfly set directly onto my topper, I added some highlight using a white gel pen, and then stamped the smaller of the open butterflies onto a separate piece of card, I cut them out and just lightly blended the inks over to create a lighter contrast and again highlighted areas using my white pen, I added some sequins for a bit of bling and Voila!

I hope you like my card and its inspired you to join in, thank you for visiting and have a great day xx Zoe xx

A Canvas

Good morning Lovelies and what a beautiful morning it is down here on the South East coast, it's chilly but the sun is shining :) oh happy days.

So I got these fab new dies designed by Seth Apter for Spellbinders, very grungy and different, I've been itching to get the time to play with these, what with Easter cards and some DT work to do I finally managed a little dabble last night, I made a small 5"x7" canvas

I used Fossilized Amber and Carved Pumpkin distress ink direct to canvas to lay a base colour down then Brusho's spritzed with water to create the dripping, I dry brushed Black Dylusions paint here and there to tone the brightness down, I then flicked Black and White ink over and dried, my dies I cut out using Centura pearl card and on the reverse side I used Black gesso on the drippy one then rubbed a copper gilding wax over it, the other die cut I used a gold rust effect texture paste by Finnabair Art Basics and then once dry used a gold gilding wax here and there, I used various circle style stamps with Black Archival ink, a few more splatters with white and black ink, I then stencilled on my sentiment with Archival ink, adhered my die cuts, added glittery gold pen highlighting some of the circles and then Finnabair Art Ingredients Melange Art Pebbles, I finished off with a copper gilding wax around the edge.

I hope you like my Canvas, I really enjoyed creating it, thank you for spending the time to visit, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Lavinia Easter cards

Good morning Lovelies and a Happy Sunday to you all. Today I'm sharing with you some very simple cards I made using Lavinia Stamps and Distress inks, I don't do Easter as such but I do send cards to all my past and present Foster babies (any excuse to craft lol)

And a cheeky little extra one, just because I'd had these stamps for ages and not inked them, aren't they just adorable? They are by Katzelkraft, the fab sentiment is by Chocolate Baroque.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, enjoy the rest of you weekend xx Zoe xx

Good morning Lovelies and a happy Sunday to you, it's early but already looking like a nice day, woohoo, lighter longer days.

I had a fab day as always at Eileen Godwin's workshop yesterday, fab company, gorgeous baked goods from the very talented Barbara Cleggett, thank you!

So here's what I made, I have one more to finish, which I'll try and show tomorrow or tonight?

These are all envelopes, my second one is an Australian one! Oops! Hahahaha, my third I used my 4" round Gelli plate and some fab nesting stencils from Designs by Georgina, my last I've included some close ups as I used gilding flakes for some extra bling.

I used Distress inks and a silver shimmery paint to create my background, I highlighted my Creeping Vine with white gel pen. My reflection I stamped Gaggle of Geese using Memento black ink onto a SplodgeAway mat and used the mat as the stamp upside down first and then lined up the Gaggle of Geese again the right way up and stamped using Versafine ink, I used a silver glittery pen to draw a line between the image and reflection to creat an illusion of water, I added the Creeping Vine and Meadow Grass last before edging with Black soot distress ink to frame it.

I used my 4" round Gelli plate with Distress inks to create my background and also inked through and round a nesting circle stencil, just to add some texture, i used distress inks to shadow stamp the Fairy-thistles stamps in the background then Versafine in black for the main image.I drew two lines freehand to frame my tag using a fineline marker pen, I coloured the Fairy-thistles with pencil and filled in with Glossy Accents.

My third I used my 4" roundGelli plaint with Imaginaion crafts Starlight paints and bubble wrap and a stencil for my background, the Fairy Orbs and Moon Pods were stamped using Black Versafine ink and coloured with pencils, a few liquid pearls to finish off.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope it's inspired you to join in, have a wonderful day xx Zoe xx

Here are few of my creations:

My first is a small 4"X"4 canvas, I started by spraying with Dylusions inks and realised they were way too strong for what I wanted to do, so I painted white Gesso over the top and quite liked how it looked.

My second creation is using the fab Pegasis from the Celtic Dies which I mounted onto Yupo paper which I coloured using Alcohol inks and blending solution, bit of Stickles glue gel to highlight the wings and leaves.

I will be sharing a few more tomorrow, have a great day xx Zoe xx
