Thank you cards!

Good evening Lovelies!

Well today I had a lovely visit from a very lovely Fostering friend of mine, we've not managed to get together for sometime, due to commitments, it was wonderful seeing her, boy did we natter? Anyway she has seen some of my cards I've posted on Facebook and was so impressed she bought 5 from my stock and ordered another 5 woohoo! She wants 4 "thank you" cards for her kids teachers and a 40th birthday card, I've made the thank you cards tonight and I'm really pleased with them, I'm only posting 2 tonight as the others are secret ;) I hope you've all had a fab day?

I used my Pan Pastels and the wonderful "Raindrops and Leafy branch" from Designs by Ryn you can visit her here the raindrops I stamped with perfect medium and swiped the pans over it, I added some white gel pen to the leaves just for some dimension, I used White Linen texture paper and black card from Papermill Direct.
Pan Pastels again on the same paper and card, I cut a circle using die into some card to use as a template, the stamps this time are Creative Expressions.
Thank you for visiting xx

Playing with Gelli plate

Good evening Lovelies! What a beautiful day it was today, although still a nip in the air, I hope you've all had a great weekend? I treated myself this weekend and not crafty things for a change, I bought myself some new clothes, boy did I need them lol!,

So tonight I have been playing with my Gelli plate and Visible Image stamps!

I used a SplodgeAway mask and sequin waste on the card base itself, which I'd masked the edges with low tack tape, I used antique linen DI.
I love the free your imagination set, the tall grasses and butterfly are also from Visible Image! If your not familiar with Visible Image you can find them here
Thank you for visiting xxx

Beside the sea!

Good evening Lovelies! A rather late post from me today! I've been on a training course today and feel shattered, but had to have a little crafty play to unwind. I've done some DT stuff which of course I can't blog today but I also made a very simple card using some stamps that came free with a mag! The background stamp is from Indigoblu and its called "square peg round hole" a fab and very versatile stamp, I inked using peacock feathers and salty ocean, I think that's its name? Lol! DI, I stamped and heat embossed the image and sentiment using the fabulous fine detail EP by Stampendous in black, inked the edges with the yellow DI from the spring or summer set? I used the reverse side of Centura Pearl card by Crafters Companion and layered onto the shimmery side that I embossed!

Thank you for spending the time to visit and leaving a comment I really appreciate it xx

Good morning Lovelies! Wow! Spring has sprung, how glorious at last, let's hope it hangs around a while!

So here we are another fortnight gone which means another challenge on http://rheddandrosies.blogspot.co.uk/ our new theme as you can see is "Stitching" faux or real!

Our very own Moira is sponsoring this challenge and offering this wonderful prize,

This is another theme I struggle with! I'm not really that happy with my sample, but I gave it a go!

The background I used my Gelli plate, I drew some stitches around the edges and stamped some swirls, the flowers were free with a mag and just so happened to have stitch edges, stroke of luck lol! I coloured the flowers with Pan Pastels, the butterfly is the small butterfly from Visible Image! I love these butterflies they are just gorgeous! You can buy it here, pop along and check out their stamps if your not familiar with them, they are a very fine quality, deeply etched for perfect images every time, and the customer service is second to none! Ahem! You can pay me later Helen and Mark lol! ;)

A Canvas!

Good evening Lovelies! Hope you have all had a fab weekend and good weather! We've had gorgeous weather, still a bit nippy but the sunshine's been glorious! We've not had a lot of chance to enjoy it, we've all had that dreaded tummy bug that's going around, started Wednesday with baby, spend 4 hours up A&E with her! Well you can't take chances when their fostered, then I came down with it early hours Friday morning, I asked hubby to take the day of work to help with baby as it was too much for me, then low and behold he started in the morning, so not only was we all poorly but I didn't get any help! Because of course men always suffer more! Lol and to top that, I was due to go to the theatre at Canterbury in the evening to see Dirty Dancing! So gutted it was the last night last night and a sell out :( still my Mum said it was brilliant!

So less of my woes, I've had a jolly good play tonight in my craft cabin, I've had my melt pot going! I made this canvas using several techniques!

I used acrylic paint to creat the colour, iridescent texture paste through a Dylusions mask, I stamped onto tissue paper and adhered it using beeswax, I used cosmic shimmer gilding wax to create some shine, I coloured the face with Pan pastels, the butterfly is a die cut then dipped in UTEE in melt pot! I hope you like it?

I'm pretty pleased with it as its not something I'm comfortable doing but it's nice to challenge myself once in a while! Thank you for visiting!

Good evening Lovelies! I hope you all had a lovely weekend enjoying the beautiful sunshine? I went to Ally Pally Sunday and met up with some fab Facebook friends, Eileen Godwin, Barbara Daines, Elaine Maisey, Karen Willis, Melissa Latchem, Helen Michelle, Mark Watt and Cheremane from Visible Image, it was so wonderful and very surreal meeting people you know but don't,! If you get my meaning lol! Got such a way with words me! Hahaha! I spent far too much money, but oh boy Hun fun doing it, I got lots of stamps, Gelli plate, distress paints, more Fran-tage, loads of stuff, so last night and tonight I've had a little play with some bits, I can't blog all of it as some of it is top secret!!!!! But here's 2 tags and a card topper!

The green tag was created with Pan Pastels and the stamps are Designs by Ryn, which are new but not from Ally Pally!
Thank you for visiting hope you like what you see? Xxx

I used pan pastels Black, grey and white to create the topper and a leaf boarder mask, the stamps are Clarity stamps the sentiment is from stash sorry cant remember who by! And a little sprinkle of white Fran-tage, it was on white linen texture card by Papermill direct! The next layer I embossed black card also from PMD using a spellbinders EF then rubbed over with a pewter cosmic shimmer gilding wax, added a bow and voila! Hope you like it?

Sympathy card!

Good evening Lovelies and a very warm welcome to new followers! I hope everyone is enjoying a splash of spring? I do hope it lasts!

I've made a sympathy card for a friend who has just lost her husband! He was elderly and had been ill for a long time! A sad loss but in many respects a blessing!

I used Linen texture card by Papermill direct mounted onto 6x6 card base! I scored two lines, masked then used Pan Pastels to create the coloured panel, the tulips are from Lavinia Stamps, the sentiment was £1 from Hobbycraft the butterfly is a spellbinder die and a pinch of white Fran-tage for some texture! Oops I've just noticed in the photo that it's not stuck down properly, I must make sure it is before I send it! A very simple card took only about 10 minutes. It's not easy trying to get a sympathy card right! I didn't want it to be too somber but also not too jolly either, I think I have it right? What do you think? I appreciate your comments xxx

Fairy Dust!

Good Evening Lovelies! I hope you've all had a great Easter and stuffed loads of choccy? Sadly I haven't :( I didn't get any! Never mind I did eat my weight in hot cross buns to commiserate lol!

Anyway tonight I'm going to share a card I've made for the 2nd Lavinia Stamps challenge, I love Lavinia stamps, such great quality and love the themes! Anyway the theme to the challenge this month is "Bright and Beautiful" I have to admit, I went a bit overboard with the stamps lol! I stamped using Stazon then sprayed with Dylusions added white gel pen here and there and some glitter on the little stars, I mounted it onto back card that I embossed and rubbed on some red Cosmic Shimmer gilding wax, love this stuff at the moment!

Thank you so much for visiting xx

Zoe April Challenge "Vintage"

Good Morning Lovelies! Another month gone, gosh the time flies by, so without further ado here are my samples! Yes I've done 2! Lol well vintage isn't my forte and wasn't entirely happy with my first one so I thought you could be the judges?

This month we are being sponsored by Visible Image who are very generously offering a prize of £20 worth of stamps! Wow wish I could enter lol! Anyone who has used their stamps will know of their very high quality and a second to none customer service from the lovely Helen and Mark, and what's amazing is! They are all made from home! Here's a link to their site

The papers are from my stash I think they are by K and Co, plus a doily which I inked with DI, I used the green to stamp the Corset stamp then cut it out and used lace to make it into a dress, the postcard is a stamp, the rest is all from my stash!

This one I'm a bit happier with, although I think the colour is a bit dull! I used the fabulous fob watches and vintage car and vintage car collage! I used a variety of technique's including my splats with Distress stains and heat embossing with UTEE,the background paper is Stamp em up the next layer I stamped some text using old paper DI then over stamped with a fob watch stamp from Urban Stamps, the postcard is an embossing folder which I inked with old paper, scrunched up and inked again lightly with vintage photo DI the toppers were stamped in black then inked and edged with vintage photo DI, same with the watches but I heat embossed them twice with the UTEE! Thank you for visiting, I hope there is enough inspiration to get you to join in? Thank you for your continued support it means so much! Don't forget to pop by and check out the rest of our a fabulous DT samples you can see them here!

Zoe Challenge # 10 - "Easter"

Good morning Lovelies! I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter break? And all the choccy eggs yummy! Wish the weather was more Easter like than Christmas!

Sadly this is my last DT sample for The Cupboard Trilogy, I've loved being part of this talented team! I have a new foster baby to care for now and she has a nasty reflux and so takes up rather a lot of my time and so crafting is going to be a bit hit and miss!

I wish my fellow team-mates well and keep up the good work xx

And so here is my card!

It's 8x8, I used spellbinder dies and embossed the background with one of the 8x8 EF from crafters companion, the swirl die cut is Marianne die, the Easter egg is the fabulous new stamp from Indigoblu just love it, which I stamped using Flitterglu and gilded with Winterdawn, all from Indigoblu, the ribbon is from my stash, I know what your saying "naked bow" I don't usually leave bows naked or the flower centres but I felt on this occasion I didn't want to distract the detail from the fabulous Egg, I felt it was definitely a case of "less is more" this time! What do you think? I'd love your opinions please?
Thank you so much Jane Songhurst for the opportunity of working with the fab team and thank you to all the other team members for making me feel so welcome!
Don't forget to pop along and join in the challenge and visit the rest of the wonderful DT's samples http://thecupboardtrilogychallenges.blogspot.co.uk/?m=0
