Good morning lovelies! It's "My favourite technique" week on the http://www.splodgeaway.blogspot.co.uk/
I have many techniques that I love to use with my masks so it was a very difficult choice, but I had to choose one! So I thought I'd share the Gelli plate multi layer technique using the Floral foundation nesting flowers and the large mixed floral mask!
I'm sorry, this is a long and picture rich post!
So here's what I used!
I never clean my Gelli plate, you can get some interesting designs!
So brayering on my first colour!
Lay the bubble wrap over the mask!
After lifting the first print add another colour
Then roughly laid the loose flowers out sort of on top of the first print but not perfectly!
Then bubble wrap over the flowers!
Here's the next print, using the same paper of course to create the multi layered design!
Then another colour!
After lifting that print, I laid the mask and used low tack tape to hold in place then placed the loose flowers inside the mask!
Using two different colour DI I carefully inked! Then removed the loose flowers!
Then removed the mask, to reveal the fab multi layered design!
And here's the finished card! I added a sentiment from Visible Image, some clear Dew drops and a pretty ribbon and matted and layered onto an 8x8 card base!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial on multi layered Gelli plate design? Thank you for visiting, please pop back to the Splodgeaway blog each day to see what the rest of the talented DT have chosen xx
